Fresh felt something pushing on his chest and shaking his shoulders, but he really didn't feel ready to wake up. He was blissfully dreaming of Jammy at the moment and he didn't want that to be disturbed.
"F-Freessh!" A sobbing voice whimpered out, the pushing and shaking stilling as the quiet noises of sobs reached the parasite's ears.
He knew that voice, even as cracked as it was. Snapping his eyes open, he quickly looked up to Paperjam who was currently crying his eyes out, sobbing loudly.
"Jammy, Jammy, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" He shifted up some, wrapping his arms around the half fish so they didn't fall onto their back.
Oddly, instead of feeling the the cool slickness of the fish scales, he felt soft silk. The fabric pressed against some body, but the body was warm unlike the odd tough coolness that always seemed to radiate off of the small Siren.
Blinking some, Fresh finally examined Paperjam's body. His eyes widen as he saw the Siren had lost their tail! Instead of their gentle tail that Fresh was always fascinated by, there was a pair of legs covered in baggy, silky pants the same color!
"F-Fresh! M-My tail!" Wailed the small thing, their little toes wiggling.
Said monster didn't say anything, his hands carefully running down the formed legs, feeling them twitch and tense. He could tell that the other had summoned an echo-body to fill out the pants, stopping maybe just above the ankles. He, though, doubted this was a conscious decision.
The parasite then refocused on Jam, moving his hands up to cup their face. He didn't say anything, just trying to rub and softly squish their face in an attempt to calm them down.
The tender touches, thankfully, did calm the other down, their tears slowing. Yet their eyes broke away from their pirate to their new limbs.
Carefully, he moved one of his legs, wiggling that leg's toes. It felt... weird, off and almost wrong. He wasn't suppose to be able have legs... Only rare beings like Nymphs were allowed to have legs! He was a Siren!
Fresh took a deep breath before carefully laying his Siren on his bed. He needed to get a shirt on before he could carry the other to Error's room. He needed to ask that Merman some questions.
Paperjam panicked when he saw the other go to a room out of his line of sight. He quickly stumbled to his feet, somehow staying upright, and waddled with a few bumps into other furniture to the door. He clung to the frame, the force of his hold actually making his knuckles go to an ash white.
There, he saw the parasite buttoning up a shirt in a hurried pace.
"F-Fresh!" The panicked tone and how close it was caused the other to look up, their already wide eyes widening even more.
Swiftly, with his shirt half buttoned, he went to the other. They were standing awkwardly, their legs positioned probably painfully and were basically melding themselves with the doorframe. So, forgetting the rest of the buttons, he picked up the now slightly older looking Siren and carried him out of the room.
Paperjam clumsily wrapped his legs around the other, sniffling some as he whimpered. His body felt fine, but he was scared. Yet, now that Fresh was there, holding him close and keeping him safe... It made him feel better.
It wasn't long before the pair were at Error's door and inside the master room without a second's hesitation. Which probably was a wrong move as Fresh had to swiftly duck and move from the door to escape the flying glass that was aimed at the supposed intruder.
Both the Siren and the Parasite were staring wide eyed at Ink, who was shakily standing on two legs, chucking anything he could grab at Error.
"Mama?" Paper cried, a look of horror on his face.
Ink's rage filled expression vanished instantly as he focused on his baby Siren. He then gasped, dropping the pillow that was gonna use, to cover his mouth in shock.
The room stilled as the pirates looked between the two now land-walkers, one of whom was standing almost perfectly and the other who could barely move their legs right.
Gulping some, Error turned to face Ink, eyeing him some. He noticed there was a painful light in the other's bright eyes. He knew that type of light well and knew that talking would rarely ever make it okay, but... He needed to know what was going on.
"I think it's time that you tell us how you became Royalty."
