The sea creatures all often went into the waters to calm themselves, it was relaxing to them. A couple of times, the pirates went, but... None of them actually knew how to swim well enough for them to be comfortable.

The three newcomers found this hilarious, with the twins trying to coax their interests into the water. Blue just threw and dragged Dust into the water, forcing him to learn to swim that. It was rather funny to watch, because both of them would just end up laughing and having a dual later on.

Paperjam did help Fresh into the water and taught him how to float and hold his breath for a good while. Ink then took over with the actual swimming lessons as he was the better swimmer land-walker style. Error would watch and sometimes participate, but he mostly stayed in the boat.

Another way that the sea creatures liked to relax, was to spend time on land, exploring. They always looked so happy, jumping and skipping around. The twins and PJ especially love talking with the locals, hearing their stories and a few rumors too.

However, not every port town the pirates go to is safe for them. A couple of times a few other pirates and catchers would try and take the mythical creatures. The Mer-skeletons were lucky that their pirates weren't too far behind.

After a while of this happening, they came together to think of a way that could deter both pirates and catchers. Yet, this way couldn't be painful for their love and had to be something they were okay with. For a long moment, the group of pirates couldn't think of anything. Till they went back to meet with Nav.

Nav was more than happy to talk with the pirates, listening to what happened and what they wanted. The ancient monster laughed some, grinned widely before having one of his many children design something for the pirates. He was whispering in their ear, so they couldn't hear what he was saying. It didn't really matter because Fresh and Error trusted him.

The pirates and their mythical lovers stayed at Nav's home for a few months, enjoying the water and a slightly easier life thanks to the inventions that his home held. Then he came to them, holding a group of boxes that were carefully designed.

Wordlessly, he handed the boxes off to each of the pirates, expect Nightmare and Cross shared a box. Quickly, they all opened their box, curious to see what was on the inside. Instantly they saw something simple and yet beautiful.

Collars. Bejeweled, enchanted collars.

"The collars will let everyone know they belong to someone. It's enchanted to also help you pirates find them if they are taken or lost." Nav hummed out with a prideful look. He deserved to feel prideful for making such a thing.

Fresh grinned as he gingerly picked the collar out of the box. The collar seemed to have been made out of leather, but it had been dyed a magenta hue. Carefully placed on the leather were rubies, sapphires and garnets. The gemstones weren't huge and overbearing, but they formed delicate swirls and shapes, flowing to the front where a metal plate rested. On the front of the plate was Error's flag symbol and on the back was Fresh's initials. He loved it!

Quickly, he went to show his little Siren. He was happy to finally have a land-walker way of showing that Jam was his. Plus, he no longer had to worry about losing the Siren if he was stolen away.

Paperjam awed at the collar, carefully turning it over in his hands with a bright smile. He loved how light it felt in his hands and how beautiful the colors seemed against his bones. The Siren especially loved the idea of showing off that he was claimed by someone.

"Put it on! Put it on!" He chirped out, taking off his scared so his mate could put the collar on him.

Fresh chuckled, kissing his excited Siren's head. He then happily clipped the collar on, making sure it was at the right size so Jam wouldn't feel too light headed.

Afterwards, the two of them just went to their room, happily cuddling and kissing. Paper was just far too excited about it, excited and happy. He was finally claimed completely and he had proof. How happier could he be?
