Bigger Fish

The pirates were able to raid some fishing towns and catch some themselves, but the fish weren't enough for the Merman or the Siren.

Turns out, Sirens have to either eat a lot or eat something with large amounts of determination. They probably had to do that not only to keep themselves alive, but their magic as well. It's why they normally go for large ships full of monsters or humans. Mer-people, though, eat a lot for similar reasons as the Sirens. They also needed to have some extra mass to deal with the depths that they naturally live in.

This meant that the pirates needed to gather more fish if they were going to get even close to curbing their hunger. It should be quiet easy as there are thousands or more ships and islands.  But it was a wonder about how long till they get to those ships and islands?

Error sighed as he steered his ship. The Merman and Siren were in separate tanks again, he didn't like the idea of them being together while hungry...

"Captain! Nightmare's ship!" Someone from the crow's nest shouted.

Error huffed, nodding. He wasn't worried about the other pirate, he and Nightmare were roughly friends. Hard not to be at least civil to each other since they both were even matched.

Ink grumbled something under his breath as he settled in his tank. He was still hungry and he really didn't want to deal with more people.

Carefully the dark skeleton guided the ship next to the other ship, that was just as big as his. Both ships threw down their anchors, allowing the other ship to throw over a long, wooden board. The Captain of the new ship was a tall goo like monster with four pointed tentacles with one glowing eye.

"Error!" Nightmare called out, walking over with ease as he had an arm wrapped around his first mate and lover, Cross.

"Nightmare." The glitch shouted, he and his friend giving each other quick hugs.

"Nightmare?" The Merman questioned, his voice softening.

The sound of his voice caused the other pirate to look at the tailed creatures. It wasn't hard for him to realize that they were a Siren and a Mermaid, but the voice sounded weird... So maybe a Siren and a Merman?

Before the gooey Captain could really tell what, his lover pulled away from him and hurried over to the two. He hadn't seen either one and only heard about them through stories, despite that it seemed he had a knack for finding mythical creatures.

"Wow! Amazing!" He muttered, kneeling in front of the Merman.

"Be careful, he's-" Error stopped himself as Ink quickly brought the other pirate into a hug, nuzzling his neck.

Cross only giggled and hugged back. He was use to this type of reaction from strange creatures.

"Really?" He questioned as Fresh chuckled. It was a bit fun to him, specially with how his buddy had said the single word.

"He's pure..." The Merman murmured, keeping his hold on the pure hearted mortal. They felt so pure, their  soul giving off a warm and welcoming aura that was just soothing to be part of. It was rare to find a mortal with that type of soul.

"Wow... Did Cross yet again befriend a mythical creature?" A taller version of Cross questioned with a smirk.

"Apparently." Nightmare huffed, not liking that the Merman was holding his prize.

"Awe, he's so nice!" Cross chirped, nuzzling Ink's chest.

"Είστε τόσο ευγενικοί και ευγενικοί... Μου αρέσεις, θνητή." The Merman whispered, finally letting the monster go. (You are so kind and gentle... I like you, mortal.)
