The two cloaked Mer-skeletons usually stayed with themselves, sitting on the thick ropes holding the sails and a few other things up. They never made a noise that would usually alert people of their presence, yet everyone seemed to have already know they were there. No one was certain if they were watching the crew run around or not, but their presence there did nothing to deter the crew.
The blue colored Mer-skeleton just watched the pirates train and have fun. They, unlike their cloaked companions, were easy to forget somehow. They disappeared with such ease that it was genuinely terrifying. The only crewmember who seemed to know where and what that Mer-skeleton was doing, was Dust. Sometimes, you'd see the two of them sitting together, watching the rest of the crew. Didn't look like they were talking to each other just yet.
Ink and Paperjam haven't said much of anything except for their mates' names. They also watched everyone, but they mainly stayed near their mates. Though, Ink could be found in the kitchen, even before it was time for lunch or dinner. Instead, he made the meals for him and his kind. Jam could mainly be found in the diving room oddly enough.
For a long while, no one really bothered them. At least no one tried to talk with them. No one tried to figure out what was new, or who the new Mer-people were. The sea creatures were just surrounded by mystery once more. Then the curiosity got the better part of them.
Nightmare, Cross and Xcellence were curious about the cloaked twins, they seemed sweeter than the others. The twins had an aura about them that just made them known to everyone, yet it wasn't distracting. It was just something that was needed to be looked into, to be talked about in some format. However, they didn't know how or when would be appropriate to approach them. They didn't want to seem pushy or invasive to them. They had already been through enough, they don't need someone like the pirates trying to get in their personal space.
Thankfully though, the twins seemed just as curious about them as they were. Shyly, the two had gotten down from their sitting area and went to a busy Cross. They quietly talked with him, asking about his pure soul. Cross had nothing to hide, so he told them he didn't understand how so many mythical creatures or beings could say he had a pure soul when he had done so much bad. He did ask for their names though, before they went back to their ropes. The one in the yellow-sun themed cloak, was called Dream. His brother, in the midnight blue-moon themed cloak was called Halluciv.
After some more days, Dream climbed down again and went to talk more with the white clad monster. This time though, the Mer-skeleton didn't mind talking with Nightmare. The Mer actually thought it was funny how their names were the opposite and they themselves were physically and mentally different. Nightmare quietly agreed, quite amused at this.
The two of them started talking more along with Cross. They were the ones who discovered how bright and cherry Dream truly was. They were the ones who helped him see a better day. To make him happy.
Halluciv, seeing his brother spend good time with some of the pirates, decided to talk with the other white clad skeleton. He was very shy in the beginning to the pirate, while Xcellence didn't mind answering or talking with him. Eventually, Hall became more excited to see his new friend, to talk with them. He then became childishly possessive of him, something that the land-walker found cute. Some more time passed and soon the dark twin was just as bright and happy as Dream, happily annoying his land-walker. X actually didn't mind Halluciv's excited, brighter than the sun attitude, he found it cute.
The blue colored Mer-skeleton and Dust's relationship went from being silent, to being loud. The loudness was mainly coming from them sword fighting. The two were experts, that much was very clear. It was an interesting fight, the swords clashing with enough strength and speed to cause sparks that harmlessly bounced around. The way their bodies moved, it was as if the two were dancing to a hidden song that only they knew. Some of these fights were won by Dust and others were won by Blue. Both would laugh off their lost and talk with the other about their techniques. It was a very interesting spectacle to watch.
Other all of this time, Jam grew less quiet, talking with Fresh and others more. He even asked for Fresh to teach him how to read seeing that the parasite knew how to. Ink had grown less sorrowful, but he still didn't say too much and Error never forced him to. Instead, Error just tried his best to try and make Ink happy, maybe smile a little bit. Some of the funny or romantic things he did, did work, so it wasn't all for nothing. That's a good thing.
At least things were getting better, even if its only a small bit.
