After the two tailed creatures had left, there were small fights with the Royal Navies of many different kingdoms. The Navies weren't focused on just one Pirate ship anymore, not even small pirate skips or rogue ships could get by this!
It was quiet annoying, forcing plenty of pirates to join forces and try to outsmart those Navy bastards. Some other pirates were forced to retire early and hide amongst normal people. A couple Pirates even began to bury any treasure they had.
A Navy from the Red Kingdom had even destroyed Nightmare's ship and had captured him. Thankfully, Error and Fresh were able to save Nightmare and a few of his Crew including Cross, Xcellence and someone calling themselves Dust. They were a bit intimidating with how quiet they were as well as how fluent they were with their swords.
The next year, there was a horrible winter storm, freezing many bays and parts of the Ocean. It forced many pirates to abandon ship or to simply die on their ships.
Error and his crew were lucky that Nav had apparently thought of this, seeing as the ship had a way of keeping itself warm in the cold winter. There was also a small area on the ship oddly for growing plants. Just enough room to grow enough food for at least a small town of a few hundred people.
The next year after that was rather quiet, many people on still recovering from the horrible winter. The pirates knew that many farmers and fishers were banding together since it would be easier to take care of that plot of land or fish. It was truly sad for them. People were growing hungry and wary of new travelers that even looked fatter than the town.
The pirates were very cautious whenever going to port towns, keeping their eyes out more than usual. At a few towns, they weren't hit too hard, so they weren't as angry with the world, but... They were still heavily taxed and gold-less.
A couple of years later, the world became right enough that the pirates didn't have to stay at sea for months at a time. People were no longer starving or risking losing their homes and land. Thievery had also gone done, allowing any pirates to do their own things for a long while.
Error and Fresh through it all just thought about their tailed creatures. They didn't know how to contact them, so all they could do was record what was happening during the time that they were gone. They placed these books in a water tight room that was hidden in the control room.
On the day that the two sea creatures had left, a large storm blew across the ocean, whipping the large ship around. The storm didn't feel natural, if anything it felt as if magic was behind it.
The two Captains and their First Mates scrambled about, shouting orders and helping their men. Everyone was working as hard and fast as they could, their hands bleeding and their legs burning.
Breathing heavily, they still moved about to keep the large ship moving without submerging it. Eventually, the storm calmed enough that the crew members were able to relax ever so slightly.
The Captains released a heavy breath before giving their final orders before heading down the deck to check everything out. Fresh went to the Diving deck that they had used most during the Harsh Winter. He honestly wasn't expecting anything to be disturbed in there.
He was wrong about that.
