Carmen walked to the training room to practice Knife throwing, she hadn't gotten any of her old weapons back and Carmen didn't want them. They felt tainted, but luckily, Fury didn't mind when Carmen requested obsidian knives. They were beautiful and sharp. Carmen threw them over and over as her mind raced, she had been told about the out-of-hours response from Mr Stark and his assistant Paprika? Pepper?. Carmen reminded herself that she shouldn't care that much as her chances of going were now low. 

S.H.I.E.L.D had also received an alert last night that there was an incident at stark industries. They sent a team of six, including Phil, to arrest Obadiah Stane. However, Carmen was barred from helping because of the adoption being a possibility still which she found highly irritating especially since some of the team had come back with black eyes and cracked ribs, amongst other injuries, Carmen had been told that Phil and his team were trying to find a reason for Obadiah's death, her eyes lit up with an idea as she told them that small aircraft's for islands weren't that safe, Carmen was met with nods and a grin from Phil, it was way better than a home invasion gone wrong.

Plastered over the media was the footage of what people assumed to be two robots fighting on the freeway, Obadiah Stane holding a car full of kids and their mother up in the air, Tony getting his ass beat, civilians running, and a lightning-like beam followed by an explosion at stark industries, morning shows were questioning who the iron man was, what had happened.

Carmen moved outside to the shooting range, and luckily it was empty given last night's events and a mission that Nat and Clint had in Japan. Nat had texted Carmen that they would be back on the 26th.

Carmen took a deep breath and called for Chantico.

 "Chantico! Nemi nonacayo" *Chantico, inhabit my body*

Chantico gladly held Carmen's hand spiritually and allowed Carmen to use her power, her eyes shifted red, and her hands lit up in flames which Carmen moulded into a ball, throwing them at the metal targets, hitting each one in the head. 

 Carmen focused on developing them to be the size of bullets, she let them hover and with a snap, each one went into where the hearts would be. Feeling pleased with herself and Chantico enjoying her time, they decided it was time to rest. Carmen exhaled as Chantico exited her body and left the shooting range to shower.

Pepper applied makeup on Tony's face as Rhodey spoke at the podium, which they could hear from the tv. Tony looked at the newspaper in his hands "'Iron Man' That's kind of catchy, it's got a nice ring to it, I mean it's not technically accurate, the suit's a gold titanium alloy", he winced as Pepper took the tape off of his nose  "but it's kind of evocative, the imagery anyways."
