It had been three weeks since Carmen first came to live with Tony, and so far nothing had happened. He and Pepper were both in and out of meetings constantly because of the Ironman announcement, which led to interviews and photoshoots, none of which Carmen was included in.
Tony seemed slightly protective over her and made sure to stand his ground when Pepper asked if Carmen would be included in interviews and photo shoots and asked if they would do a press conference. Carmen had also met Beatriz, who was a maid and cooked for them, she usually worked with a small team to clean the house, and she taught Carmen some dishes like Arroz Rojo, Arroz con gandules and homemade pasta with green pesto.
It was Sunday today. After waking up and singing softly as a form of worship, Carmen decided to watch some tv and didn't notice how much time had passed. During the early afternoon, she could feel herself cramping and looked through her drawers and backpack multiple times.
Carmen couldn't find the tampons or pads anywhere.
Maximo had taken Carmen out when she was nine. Carmen remembered getting her first period, he explained what it meant, and they went to the store to get the products; it was a surprisingly normal experience but then the emphasis was put on Carmen being a woman and being able to produce kids for hydra which was a scary thought, he only stopped taking Carmen once Carolina was with them but later he took Carmen to the store now and then.
"Hey Jarvis, where's Pepper?"
"Miss Potts has the day off today."
"Fuck, um, where is Beatriz?"
"Miss Aleman also has the day off today. Would you like me to tell you where Mr Stark is?"
" um, yes" Carmen only caved when she realised that she didn't have a choice
"Mr Stark is downstairs in the garage."
"Great"
Carmen walked downstairs and put in the code to the garage, walked down the stairs and pulled on the metal door handle to get in,
"Hey, Tony"
He looked up from his computer "Hey little lady, what's up?"
"Um," Carmen bit her lip ", I... do you have Pepper's number?"
"you know you can tell me anything, right? I know it's only been a few weeks but"
"I got my period", Carmen watched as Tony's mouth formed an O shape ", and I don't have any products; I'm sorry I forgot them, and I just didn't think-" she started panicking.
