"She looks beautiful."

"She was", Carmen smiled sadly. "So was your mum."

Tony looked over at the picture of his mother that was now on the piano alongside a photo of his father.

The piano was adorned with cempasúchil, white candles and their relative's favourite foods. Carmen, of course, asked Tony for this, and he kindly obliged.

Carmen had spent the day making sure the house was decorated both for Día De Los Muertos and for Halloween though Tony had told her that barely any kids came up to his house.

"Well, you never know, people might come this year, and Rhodey is coming, right? He could take something."

Tony raised his eyebrows "Why are you so determined to have a Halloween?" he asked as he crossed his arms.

"I-I've never really had one; well, I mean, I've gone out with friends and eaten sweets but nothing like the real thing."

"I'm guessing you're going out with your friends tomorrow?"

"If that's okay with you"

"Be back before midnight."

"Thanks, Dad" Carmen wrapped her arms around Tony and gave him a quick hug.

Three rushed knocks came at the door when it was seven thirty in the evening; Pepper had picked out Carmen's costume; it had been the perfect fit, a spy.

Carmen laughed to herself after opening the garment bag on her bed; she had put her regular makeup on and made sure to curl her eyelashes as Luz had shown her.

Carmen rushed to the door and yelled out, "Bye Dad! Bye Rhodey!" as she closed the front door and was met with Luz, whom she instantly wrapped her arms around. "I missed you" Carmen smiled at Luz as she hugged her back tightly, both blushing.

Xochiquetzal beamed, her presence making carmen feel like butterflies were in her stomach 'tinesi nik kisohtla, Papalotl' *You seem to like her, Butterfly*

Carmen had tried to push Xochiquetzal out of her body, but it seemed useless as she wanted to stay watch over Carmen.

"I missed you too" Luz smiled as she let go of Carmen

"Come on guys!" Yelled Elijah from the driver's side

"We're not gonna get any sweets at this rate", Francisco remarked as he rolled his eyes at the two girls.
