~ HI YALL! This has been sitting in my phone notes for a while just a casual thing I would write in boredom, but I decided to publish and see what happens. So if you're here thank you :). Umm so yeah have fun, bear with me, trust the process and all that. I don't want to give too much away I like surprises...or try to set up surprises (poorly).

Also I know that technically the avengers compound isn't a thing yet, but lets just pretend ay ~

WARNING: this fic will get violent and/or spicy, so be warned if u dont like that stuff :)

My fingers padded gentle across Steve's face feeling the roughness of stubble beginning to brew against the skin. He winced, "Sorry," I smiled sheepishly as the needle went gently through the flesh. "Maybe next time keep the helmet on?" Blood trickled down the side of his face as the thread pulled the skin together.

"Yeah, yeah," he looked up at me. "You ever get tired of this?"

I chuckled, "Keeping you guys alive? Never." He gave me that knowing smile like the question already had an answer before it left his mouth. My playful demeanor fell, "Do you?"

His blue eyes stared into mine a question he often asked himself. My fingers lingered on his face waiting for a response or lack of one. "Theres always a bad guy that needs to be stopped, and something in me tells me I'm the man to stop them." I placed the bandage over the gash in his forehead knowing he'll most likely heal within the next day or two as he always did.

"I don't know why you even come in here; that serum does more than I could." I chuckled ripping the gloves off my hands and tossing them out. I began scribbling down my notes on Steve's record as he sat there.

"Normalcy," I peered over at him. "Or maybe," He slid off the table gathering his things. "I just enjoy seeing you."

I rolled my eyes, "Take a tylenol if you start having a headache; call me if it doesnt go away or you start throwing up...might be a concussion."

He chuckled. "Do you want to walk with me back to the compound?"

I shook my head. "I have some cleaning up to do, but save me some dinner." I closed his chart. "Banner is always taking the leftovers to his room."

"The green guy is always starving," Steve smirks. 'Well if you do ever get tired of this old job let me know," His face gets serious, "I want you to be happy'

I smiled up at him, "I could do this all day."

He rolled his eyes. "See ya." He called over his shoulder leaving me alone in the medical room. I pulled the old paper off the exam table and tossed it out grabbing the container of wipes from the counter to clean everything. I threw all the tools in the red hazard bucket spraying them off before I closed the lid. The cleaning team will take them in the morning, but everyone was always careful with Steve's blood. I wiped off the counter and before I knew it everything looked brand new like no one had even been here. I pulled up a chair opening my laptop to enter everything that happened...legal issues. Not that any of them would sue me; I had to keep a record of everything if anything went to court. Steve was always here the most for cuts. Tony came occasionally for anxiety, and Nat's was always torn muscles. Oh my band of misfits.

The walk back to the compound wasn't too far, but at night it sometimes creeped me out. Not that I wasn't safe, but the lights only lit the pathway and the place was surrounded by trees leaving much up to imagination. I wasn't completely sure why the medical center was located in a different facility, but then again sometimes it made sense to leave work and home life apart. Or if someone caught some infection disease...not that anyone would with half of them being mutated or a God. Ever since the attack on New York I relocated to here since it was much safer and plus everyone else tended to stay here more often before shipping off to missions so it just made sense to me. I swung the door open and locked it behind me hearing distant chatter.
