warning/ oral sex

I was sitting in the airport when I got the call. Nat's voice was shaky on the other end, "We need you; Clint's hurt." I set the phone on my lap closing my eyes leaning my head back. I could just ignore them, but alas. I was already on my feet walking away from the terminal, and back into their world. I wish I could just rip off the bandaid, but I wasnt one to turn my back on them. There was already a car outside the airport to take me to them.

A few hours later the plane landed and they were rolling him down onto the platform on the stretcher. I walked forward my tub of supplies in hand. "He needs fluids and some antibiotics." I threw in a lousy anticubital IV and started a fluid bolus. I pulled back the makeshift bandage from the wound; it looked pretty bad and still bleeding. "You doing okay Clint?" He chuckled out a small yes hiding most of the pain. I ripped open a large gauze pad and pressing it into the wound and holding.

"See if you stayed on he would have had help back there." Tony shot out landing next to me as we walked.

I rolled my eyes, "Maybe he should have dodged the blast." Clint's head snapped up a bit to argue with me. "Kidding." I glanced over at Tony still in his suit. "I mean you guys have seen me do this enough maybe you can learn."

"We got you for that." He was infuriating sometimes.

"The wound needs to be debrided." We entered the building, but quickly stopped by a woman

She smiled, "I can take it from here."

"Kat...Dr.Cho." Tony motioned to her.

"I'd like to scrub in and assist."

"There will be no need for that." My eyes flashed to her in confusion. She explained to me on the way.

I watched as the machine began to regenerate tissue on Clint's open wound. "Amazing," I walked around the machine tracing the sides of it. "And its his own tissue?"

Helen chuckled, "Yes, not even his own girlfriend will be able to tell."

"I dont have a girlfriend." Clint groaned out watching us.

"I cant help with that." Dr. Cho laughed typing at her pad.

I crossed my arms as Tony entered with green smoothies, "If you had her why did you call me back here."

"In case he crashed in the jet." I eyed him suspiciously as I took one of his drinks, "Thor is really upset you were going to miss the party." He made a fake pouting face. "Wouldn't want to upset the God of Thunder."

"Tony." I told him sternly. "This isn't going to make me stay."

Clint looked up at me, "You're better off here with us." My mouth fell at his words; I didnt realize how much I meant to all of them.

I shook my head walking away. Nothing they were going to say was going to stop me, and I needed to stand by that. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands off blood running down the drain from under my finger nails. This was such a set up. "Thanks for coming."

"You're a good actress Nat," I turned the faucet off and brushed past her.

"We really did need you." I stopped turning to face her, "Tony called Helen Cho after we called you. He figured you could stabilize Barton and she could fix him up. He wasnt doing that well on the ride back home. You're the only one we trust."

I clenched my fist. "You guys are such-such primadonnas!" I ran my hand through my hair. "I'm just a nurse anyone could do what I do. You dont need me."
