•Chapter 32•

"Aw look at that adorable dog!" Exclaimed Marlene as she noticed a big black dog in front of Three Broomsticks. "Uh, yeah." Said Oliver, nervously. He wasn't nervous because of Marlene, they just had the most amazing time at Madame Puddifoot's tea shop, it was the dog that was scaring him.

Some people, like Marlene thought he was the cutest dog ever but Oliver, disagreed. He was immensely scared of them after having a very bad accident with one dogs when he was nine. To him, the dog was a huge scary animal and all he wanted to do was run from there. But of course he didn't, he did not want to leave Marlene and so he just followed her to the animal.

"Good boy, you're such a good boy, aren't you?" Said Marlene as she petted him. The dog was surprisingly very well trained for a street dog and it felt like he knew Marlene somehow, or you know maybe he just connected with Marlene immediately, she thought. "Don't you want to pet him, Ol?" Asked Marlene with an adorable expression on her face. Oliver would have smiled at the nickname if hadn't been for the dog, "I'll skip, why don't I get us some sweets from Honeydukes?" "Why? You thinking of ditching me?" She asked, jokingly. "Oh what never, no wait, I mean like no i am not thinking that." Said Oliver, flustered. "So you're just scared of dogs then?" Teased Marlene. "Yeah, very." He confessed, embarrassed. "I'll keep you safe, don't worry." She said, kind of genuinely.

"Um, am I just hallucinating or is that a stag, in the middle of Hogsmeade?" Oliver said, confused. "Woah woah, I didn't know there were stags here, look how beautiful it is." Marlene said as she noticed the majestic animal and she could swear that it felt like the stag heard her and was.....smirking? The dog noticed the stag too and what seemed like a nod (which again confused Marlene) he ran after it and in a few seconds the two animals had disappeared.

"Well that was....weird." Said Marlene. Oliver just nodded his head, "C'mon let's actually go to Honeydukes now." Marlene took his hand and made way to the famous sweet shop.

"Oh hey you two lovebirds." Said Sirius as he noticed the two enter the shop. "Oh hi you guys!" exclaimed Marlene as she noticed the group. "Hey!" Greeted Oliver, a bit red (Oliver had insisted it was because of the cold weather when it was noticed by Lily) "Where's Peter?" Asked Marlene, noticing his absence. "Restroom." Said Mary but James, Sirius and Remus just grinned, Merlin knew why. Although something but that grin seemed familiar, 'I'm going crazy' Marlene thought to herself.

"C'mon let's get some shopping done." Said Remus. Oliver was just telling Marlene about his collection of Chocolate frog cards when "AAAAAAAH" Squealed Marlene. All heads in the shop turned towards her, "Mouse." She answered their unasked question. "Oh Merlin Oliver he's climbing on you, get it off!" Yelled Marlene. "What the-" Oliver panicked, shaking, trying to get that mouse off him. Marlene tried to catch to it but she couldn't or maybe she didn't want to touch it. Mary quickly grabbed the animal in her hands and let it free outside the shop. "A mouse in a sweet shop? Damn these owners need to be careful." She said, looking at the unbothered staff. Sirius, James and were having the time of their lives, laughing, while Remus was trying his best to cover up his own laugh.

"What is up with the animals today." Muttered Oliver but he couldn't help but smile with the rest of them. "You know what, enough of Hogameade for today, company me to the castle Marls?" He asked. Marlene laughed as she nodded her head and took the boy's hand. "Meet you at dinner guys." She said to the group.

"Somehow I feel like you three had something to do with it." Lily said, suspiciously. "Oh c'mon Lily, I'm your boyfriend and you are accusing me?" Said James, dramatically. "Besides Lils, we couldn't possibly have such a well trained mouse, you know we don't even have a pet mouse." Remus said.

"I had a great time today." Said Marlene as they stood at the entrance to Hogwarts. "Me too." Oliver agreed, regardless of the previous events, he had a lot of fun. "Well I'm hoping for a second date Ol." She said as she quickly pecked his cheek and left, leaving him all happy.
