you groaned as the sun shone brightly in your face. you turned over, mumbling, "five more minutes, sun." just as you were about to drift back to sleep, a thought popped into your head.
jolting upright, you found yourself in an unfamiliar room. "oh right," you muttered to yourself, "i'm a magic knight now, huh?" you quickly stood up and tidied the bed.
as you glanced around the room, trying to make sense of your surroundings, you suddenly remembered the events from last night. gasp "no, i didn't!" you exclaimed, realizing the implication of your late-night actions.
-
"c'mon Y/N!" yvane yelled as she dragged you toward a bar. yes, a bar. you'd just become a magic knight, and now here you were, being pulled into a bar full of drunk men and... women?
"hey! vanessa!" yvane called out to a pink-haired woman in her twenties. you noticed her robe and realized, 'she's from the black bulls?'
"yvane~! long hiccup time no see hiccup," vanessa greeted, her speech slightly slurred. yvane chuckled and guided you toward the drunken woman. "how are you, hm? have any cute guys on your sleeve yet?" yvane teased.
you both took a seat in front of her as vanessa poured herself another glass of wine. "where'd you find this beautiful lady?" she asked, sending a sweet smile your way.
"she's my friend, Y/N diana," yvane introduced. "Y/N, this is vanessa, also a friend." you smiled at vanessa and murmured a "nice to meet you" with a kind smile, which she returned.
"we both took the magic knights exam today, and we both got into the golden dawn," yvane said proudly. as soon as she mentioned william's squad, you couldn't help but blush. were you really that into him? you'd only had one real conversation, but you were already simping over the captain.
you knew this blooming feeling inside you might not end well.
"you okay, Y/N? you haven't even had any drink, but you look flushed," yvane said worriedly. you sighed; maybe you could let your guard down just for tonight. a little drink wouldn't be too bad.
now you were regretting your life choices, sitting with vanessa and spilling all your emotions and feelings.
"why can't he get itttt? ~" vanessa whined, throwing her hands around while holding her glass of wine.
"i don't hiccup understand~ do i like him~ nooo~ hiccup," you whined, taking another sip of your wine before resting your head on the table.
helix emerged from your shirt, yawning. "will you stop moving so much? i'm—" the spirit stopped mid-sentence as she saw you repeatedly banging your head on the table.
"what is happening—" the floating girl looked around, noticing yvane, who was surprisingly still sober. "a little help here..." helix mumbled while struggling to maintain her composure.
yvane was holding a drunken vanessa, struggling to get her into a spatial portal. just as she was about to succeed, a guy emerged from the portal, shaking his head and sighing.
"sorry for the inconvenience my friend caused you again, miss yvane," he apologized.
"she's a very good friend of mine, so it's really nothing," yvane assured with a soft smile lingering on her lips.
the two locked eyes for a moment, their gazes lingering for a few seconds before they both looked away—yvane flustered and the spatial magic user embarrassed.
"please take care of her... finral," yvane murmured his name under her breath as vanessa was finally sent into the portal.
"i got it, yvane. i'll see you around." finral winked at her before stepping into the portal, leaving a blushing yvane behind.
"okay, now let's get this girl to the... base," yvane said to herself and the floating spirit, who was struggling to help you up.
"nooo~ i do not— i like him? i don't~ i don't—" you whined, your words slurred and incoherent.
"this is gonna be a long night," yvane mumbled as she stared at your hopelessly whining figure.
-
that's all your memory remembered as you walk around the room, you just finished showering and does not know if you should go out or just stay there the whole day and forget that you're now an actual magic Knight who's supposed to be helping the citizens-
okay, maybe you do have to get out.
though things still bother you, firstly, your head is pounding so much and you literally feel like the earth is floating. secondly, you made a very embarrassing show last night and you don't even remember half of it. you don't know how to face yvane, your captain and even helix since she saw you, her partner in battle, looking such a mess.
you walked back and fourthly for about five minutes, until your grimoire glowed. you tilted your head in confusion as you opened it helix flew out of the book, you sighed and closed your eyes ready for her scolding.
when you didn't hear any sounds or her voice you started to get scared, you slowly opened your eyes and saw the spirit sitting on a table next to the bed, and a folded paper next to her.
you didn't even notice that after wandering your eyes all over the room the past five minutes.
good morning miss Y/N,
please feel free to roam around the base and get familiar to the place. i could not get to walk you around last night due to miss yvane speaking of your state and forbid me to see you at that moment. i am currently on a mission today until tomorrow. miss maine seemed to be your closest friend so if you're feeling any headache or body pain, please go to her, her room is the fourth door opposite of your room's hallway. have a nice day Y/N.
