".....right, so why do i have these again?" you nip at your pen, smirking at your best friend's troubled face.

"gods Y/N you're hopeless." yvane says as you laugh.

a few more moments pass of you reading countless books about ancient treasures and jewelries and you finally give up.

"hey, i'm going out. you two can stay here if you want to get more informations, i'm leaving those to you." you point at the necklaces.

you've been at maine's library for a while now, a week exactly. your captain has been in a mission and still isn't back 'till now.

you decide to spend your time with your bestfriend reading books and analyzing what those necklaces can do until william comes back or when you get another mission.

but to no avail, you just grew lazier with your research, knowing you're not really into knowledge with books. not like you hate them, they're just too much for the brain.

"you comin livi?" you ask your sylph who's wearing her own tiny glasses while she lays on top of a page.

"nope, just ask amihan to get me when you screw up again." she answered, "okay then." you mumble in a sarcastic manner and you bid good bye to yvane before exciting their household.

you weren't sure where you're headed exactly, so to the golden dawn's kitchen you ended up.

"lady Y/N? the captain has been looking for you." jamon, who's enjoying his cupcake called out for you.

"he's back?"

"yes, he informed the maids to ask you to see him in his quarters. i only happened to be passing by then." the man says and you only nod.

'what can it be for?' you thought.

looking both sides and seeing the coast is clear, you nonchalantly bursted open your captain's door.

it nearly drained the mana out of the man but calms down when he sees your figure.

after entering, you close the door gently and faced the man behind his desk who now has his arms crossed.

"what's with the dramatic entrace?" he chuckles.

"i didn't feel like being a good assistant today so i'm going to bother you until you tell me why did you summon me after a long mission when we both well know that i will be annoying your butt."

you said in a confident pose jokingly and william laughs.

noticing your acts, he decided he'll choose the hard way. violence.

"i would like to hear your report from the dungeon a week ago, ms diana."

you raise a brow at this, getting the hint of his little play. you sat down infront of his desk and started explaining what happened at the dungeon all in a serious and formal way.

the man only stayed still, staring at you as if zoning out.

"captain, are you paying attention?" you asked in a monotone making the man slightly flinch.
