She dragged her feet around the kitchen, preparing breakfast. She felt numb and emotionally drained and didn't even want to do anything about it. The cook must have noticed how sour her mood was because she kept on glancing at her and asking her if she was okay in Hausa. Toni who at this point could make light conversations in Hausa kept on telling the lady she was okay.  Although she didn't feel okay, yesterday's incidence had being the straw that broke the camel's back, and right now she must say she wanted out of it all.

Toni glanced at the wall clock to see that the time was past 7am when she heard Nasir's footsteps coming down the stairs. She had gotten used to waking up whenever Nasir left for work already, so it hadn't being hard to adjust to that time when it came to preparing his meals. She picked up the tray of slice bread and fried eggs, with the cup of tea and headed for the dinning just in time for when he came in.

"Morning," she greeted and placed the tray on the table.

"Good morning, Omotoni," he answered, kissed her lightly on the lips, then looked at her skeptically. She motioned for him to seat, he hesitated at first, but still sat down all the same.

She sat beside him while the cook brought out a plate of fruits, and oat meal. She nodded thanks to the woman and got busy eating. This was actually an hard fit to achieve because she couldn't help but feel Nasir's gaze on her, and it really irked her.

"Nasir," she called out his name, looking up at him. "I have a request."

"What is it? Tell me anything you want?" He asked way too eager than necessary, it had to be guilty conscience. A guilty Hausa man was a really fun sight to behold.

"I want Yeni to come over today. She is currently on holiday, and I want her to spend the week here," she said. She wasn't sure he'd agree to this, the guy had issues with almost any and everything.

"Of course, she can come over. It's her home too," Nasir said, smiling.

"Thank you," she said and got back to eating.

"Do you need me to pick her up at the airport?" She heard him ask her, Toni looked up to see him peering at her with curiosity. For some minutes there she wanted to fall for this act and believe that Nasir was a different person, but she was already used to him doing this and then going back to being the asshole he was.

"You don't have to, Yeni doesn't really like you, I'd send my personal driver over when it's time," she said, dismissing him at the same time.

Nasir seemed to be a little slower with his meal today, and when he was done, he made a show to kiss her before he left for work. What the hell was going on? What has gotten up his ass? She took her mind off him and instead focused on the fact that Yeni was coming over.

She placed a call to her mum to let her know Yeni's visit was still on and that she should leave home now. Once she was done with the phone call, she got a maid to clean up a guest room for Yeni, and awaited her arrival with giddiness. At least now she'd have someone to keep her company, even though it would only be for sometime.

Toni was now officially a full housewife, she had nothing doing. After what happened yesterday, she had relieved her crew members of their duties, and quit taking the acting class. Her acting school was still on, and she would always remain the owner, but she practically had nothing of importance to do with her life anymore. Nasir has made sure of that. That was the reason she had ask her mum to let Yeni come over, so that she wouldn't die of depression before her child arrives.

She knew she wouldn't have this much to think of when her baby finally arrived, she'd forget all about the douche she was married to and focus all of her attention on raising her child. She'd also write some scripts and sell it out to keep herself busy. She already had enough story to tell.
