"Omotoni, can you tell me what really happened six years ago?"

Nasir felt Omotoni go stiff in his arms, then she sat up on the bed. Nasir also sat up and reached for the remote to put on the light so that he can see her face clearly. And when he had done that he regretted the question he asked, she looked so white and scared.

"You want to know if you really got married to a slut?" Omotoni asked, her voice sounding grave.

Nasir shook his head and reached for her hands, which he was glad she let him take. "I do not think of you as a slut. I know that whatever happened then must have being a misunderstanding. You're not like that."

"What if I am like that? What if I am someone who sleeps around to get roles? What if I am someone who sleeps with married men? What if I am really the Nollywood slut I've been rumoured to be? What would you do then?" She questioned, her tone turning cold with fury as she set a determined look on his face.

Nasir knew she wasn't all that, he knew that whatever happened then wasn't what the world knew. And even if it was, it wouldn't change anything. "Nothing. Even if everything they said then was true, it doesn't change the fact that you'll always remain my Habibah."

Nasir wasn't expecting that to make much meaning to her as she didn't know the meaning of Habibah, but the look that filled up her eyes told him otherwise. She already knows what Habibah means, even if she doesn't, she must have deduced that it meant something to him. And Nasir wasn't sure how that felt with him.

"As I said what happened then was my fault," she started. Nasir pulled her closer to him, he rested her head on his chest, figuring she'd need it. "I have always loved acting, my mum used to tell me that everything I did when I was little was more like I was in a movie or something. So when I wrote JAMB and chose Theatre arts as a course of study, she wasn't surprised. But being a Theatre arts student didn't mean you'd become the world best actress, I knew this, and I was willing to take on several auditions to get me where I wanted. My mum wasn't far off in helping me either, she was always ready to assist me in everything."

Omotoni sighed, then continued. "It was in my second year in university, six years ago, when I met with this guy, Chuks. I was nineteen then. He had come to my school to watch one of our plays. I was going back to my apartment after the play when he walked up to me and said he was waiting for me. He complimented me, showed a lot of interest in my art. He told me he was a film maker, a producer of some sort. I was flattered by his attention, not that I wasn't getting it before. Can you pass me a glass of water, please?"

Nasir immediately got to action and filled up the glass cup with water for her. He had always made sure there was water on the side table. Omotoni usually gets thirsty a lot this days, and he didn't like the idea of walking around to get water. She handed him the glass once she was done, and gave him a smile of appreciation.

"So where was I?" She asked. "Oh yes, I remember." She chuckled.

"Along the line, we started dating. I thought I had finally met my prince charming. Then some time later, he told me he had a movie he wanted to produce and would like me to feature in it. I was elated, it was the first movie I would be featuring in. I was even more happy when I found out I was to play the lead character in the movie. The movie was a success, a lot of people already anticipated it from the trailer. I was excited, and I already garnered a number of fans, and they were all telling me how they look forward to watching the movie. It was on the day of the movie premiere I knew what I had really done."

He took in a breath then, he also knew about the premiere. It was at that premiere she had being labeled a slut, her first ever movie premiere, how would that have felt. Nasir didn't want to imagine it, after all she'd said now, he knew for a fact that all The rumors that had gone around about her then was a big lie.
