THE AUDIENCE ALL AROUND John Walker was shocked at his actions. Seeing Captain America kill an innocent man— that wasn't good. James knew something was wrong with the John— it was like a feeling. But those thoughts were all brushed away after he saw all that blood on his father's shield. Once Walker ran away, James followed behind and so did the rest of the team. They finally found him after about a minute or two.
"Walker," James shouts as he walks into the building, stopping the man from going any further.
"You guys should see a medic, you don't look so good." Walker coldly says he continues to walk away from him.
In other situations, James would've made a joke, but he couldn't now. "Stop, Walker."
"What?" Walker scoffs. "You saw what happened. You know what I had to do. I killed him because I had to! He killed Lemar!"
James shakes his head. "He didn't kill Lemar, John. Come on, don't go down that road. Believe me, it doesn't end well."
"I'm not like you or Bucky or anyone," Walker spat through gritted teeth.
"That doesn't matter Walker... you see what you're holding right now?" James asks, he points at the shield in the man's hands. "That shield comes with responsibility— it comes with so much pressure and trust me, I know. But over fifty people just saw Captain America kill an innocent man, you think that there will be no consequences. Look at the shield, man. There's blood all over it!"
Walker looks at the shield with sad eyes. "H-he killed Lemar."
James sighs. "I know, Walker. But you can't run from this— you can't act as if nothing happened. I don't want anyone else to get hurt. And I know you feel the same. You gotta give me the shield, man."
Walker stays silent, he looks up and stares right into James's eyes. "Oh, so that's what this is. You almost got me."
"You made a mistake." James continues.
Walker laughs. "You don't wanna do this."
"Yeah, we do," Bucky says walking into the room.
"You, stay back," James shouts at Bucky before turning back to face Walker. "Give me the shield and no one has to get hurt."
"Come get it."
Walker tried running away, but James was wise enough to know that would be his first move. James shoots two arrows right beside Walker to scare him from moving any farther which is exactly what happened. Walker turns around and charges towards James. He throws the first punch which James catches. From there the fight gets more intense.
