DEVYN POV
"What do you mean I have to take her with me?" I yell into my monitor.
"We had to get out early because my dad needed us there for something. So me and Ash left early in the morning, we had no choice." Sierra pleaded.
"What about Gabe and Brianna? They probably have room in their car for her."
"They already hit the road too."
"Fuck. You know I don't want the newbie any where near me, and now you want me to drive her, four hours, in my car?"
"Just listen to music or something. You don't have to talk to her. Please, Ash came all the way out here for me, and the least I could do is make sure his girlfriend makes it here...alive." Girlfriend?
"God, I hate you so much."
"Please do this, I'll love you forever."
"What about her friend?"
"Isabella? She said she couldn't make it, because she needs to be with family instead."
"This just keeps getting worse. But fine. I'll bring her."
"Remember. Alive. Okay? Bring her alive!!"
"I'll try." I say with a chuckle. Grabbing my gear, and bags I head downstairs to my car. I throw everything into the trunk and I proceed to take a seat behind the wheel. After waiting, for what felt like forever, Andrea finally emerged from the exit, carrying two bags. This road trip is going to be the worst one ever. She taps on the window, and I roll it down.
Before she can say anything I say, " Load them up into the trunk, it's open." It looked like she was about to say something, but she refrained. When she takes longer than I expected, I hop out to see what the hassle was.
"Is it that hard to put some bags into the trunk of a car?"
"It is, when you're this messy. You just threw your bags in, how am I supposed to fit any of mine." As she reaches for my bags, I tell her to stop.
"Don't touch my things. Just put your stuff in the backseat." She gives me a look of irritation as she puts them in.
We finally sit in the car, and I start it.
"How far is this place?"
"Four hours." She groans and melts into the seat. I hit the road and start driving through the traffic.
"This is my car. So no funny business. Don't bother me, and I won't bother you." Her hair falls in front of her face like curtains and she moves the strand behind her ear, so I could see the side of her face.
"As you wish, your majesty."
"You see, that's not necessary." Once we're out of the city, we're surrounded by trees and fields that seem to run on forever. Andrea moves her seat back, getting comfortable and I can feel anger slowly creeping into my veins. Moving my focus back on the road, I look for the sign that says Hollow Evergarden. I always forget when it came so I had to keep focus.
Andrea puts her feet up on the dashboard and I hit the brakes.
"No. We're not going to be doing that. Put your feet down."
"I was just getting comfortable."
"How about not getting comfortable? You can do as much as you want at the cabin, with your boyfriend." She moves her feet down and crosses her arms over her chest. As I start driving again, she speaks up.
"He's not my boyfriend."
I let out a chuckle, "Yeah right."
"I'm serious."
