DEVYN POV

I was mad. Father didn't even show up to his daughter's wedding. How irresponsible could he be? I know that Sloane was upset, but she wasn't trying to show it to anyone. All I wanted was for her to be happy, she truly deserved it. I drank away most of my emotions for the night anyways, while spotting Andrea and Ash dancing away. Once the DJ called for all of us to join the dance floor, I grabbed Iris and started dancing. I didn't want to think about my father, or every horrible thing that's happened to me, I just wanted to dance the night away. As I dance, my arm brushes against Andrea's and anger fills me once again. Could I ever catch a break? I ignore her, but from the corner of my eye, I see her kiss Ash.

"I didn't know you could dance like this," Iris says with laugh as she puts her arms around my neck.

"Everyone dances when they're drunk. Or cry. And I'm dancing."

"You look beautiful today."

"I look beautiful everyday."

She giggles and pulls me in closer, leaning in for kiss.

"Oh my god! Devyn! Hey!" Just in time, Gabriel saves me.

"Hey Gabe!" I get out of Iris's grasp to give him a hug.

"How's it going?"

"It's okay. I'm already drunk and the night has only begun."

"Typical Devyn."

"I guess." He takes a step towards me and whispers something.

"I've got something stronger." My eyes get wider.

"Don't tell me you got some of that."

"Mhmm. You want some?'

"Hell yeah." He shoves a small bag into my hand and disappears into the crowd.

"Iris! I'm going to get a drink!" I yell at her and she nods. I make my way towards the bar.

"What can I get ya?" The bartender asks.

"The usual."

"Coming right up." He passes me my drink and pour every ounce of the contents in the bag that Gabe gave me into the cup. I chug it down faster than anything in my life. It tingles all my organs but I've never felt more alive.

"Give me another." I say as I hold up my glass. After four more drinks I had to the bathroom, but it's already occupied. I wait outside of it, and the door opens slowly and I realize that it's Andrea. Maybe it's all the alcohol and drugs, but I can't seem to think at all. All I know are people's names and faces, other than that everything feels like a blur, and I think I like it that way.

"Your standing in my way." She explains, waiting for me to move.

"And what if I don't move," I take a step inside as she takes a step back, " what if I step in?"

"Are you okay?" She tries to read me, but I know she can't understand anything from the look on her face.

"Oh, I'm just fine, thanks for asking, love." I shut the door behind me as I keep walking towards her. She walks backwards until she hits the wall.

"Should I even ask how you're doing?" I stretch my right arm out and place my hand on the wall next to her ear, trapping her between the wall and my body.

"Doing better than you that's for sure." She smiles.

"Of course you are, you've got Ash to take care of you."

"What are you doing?" She sighs.

"What am I doing?"

"This," she gestures towards my arm,"let me go."

"I'm talking to you."

"What if I don't want to?"

"What do you want to do instead?" I say with a smirk and I hear her gasp.

"With you? I'd rather kiss the toilet seat."

"Who said anything about kissing?" She looks away and I see her start to blush. I didn't want to admit it, but the black dress she was wearing was gorgeous. She looked like an absolute goddess tonight. My eyes darted to her exposed thigh at the slit of her dress.

"I know you want me." I look back up at her and she looks me right in the eyes as she says it.

Leaning in closer to her, without breaking eye contact, I let my hand slip down to her leg. Letting my hand travel up her leg, to her thigh. Leaning in to her ear I whisper.

"You look awfully stunning." As I finish my sentence, I stare at her neck as it invites me. I want to melt into her neck, so that's exactly what I do, because I had no time to think. As my lips come into contact with her skin, her warmth fills me. She lets out another gasp, but doesn't push me away. I smile as I kiss her neck. She does a quick maneuver by grabbing my arms, and she shoves me against the wall.

"You can want me all you want, but you can't have me." She gives me a smirk as she stares at my lips. Gotcha! She leans in slowly and I do the same. Her lips touch mine as she goes in for a kiss, but I don't kiss back, as she feels that, she moves away quickly, blushing. I grab her by the waist and push her against the wall again. She looks angry, just the way I liked it.

"Are you sure that it's me, who wants you? Seems like the other way around if you ask me." I can see the regret and anger of that half-kiss on her face.

"See you around, love." I step away and fix my hair in the mirror. She storms out of the bathroom and I can't help but smile, I feel like I'm floating. She kissed me. Am I hallucinating?

I step out after her, and the loud music hits me once again. Looking around, I see Iris and she waves me over. To my right I spot Andrea once again and I make sure to give her a wink, and she gives me the middle finger in return. A tough cookie she is.
