ANDREA POV
"Do I look okay?" I ask as I reveal my dress to Isabella.
"What the hell! You look so hot." She squeals. I stand in front of the mirror taking it in. It was a red dress that Ashton bought for me for Sloane's wedding.
"I don't know. It just doesn't feel right."
"I'm telling you, he's going to be drooling over you."
"Red is just not me."
"Hmmm. Well pick any, you'll look good in anything, but just hurry up, he'll be here to pick you up any moment now." With a sigh I walk back into my closet. Looking through my wardrobe, I find a black dress. It's sleek with a slit at the thigh. I take it out to show Isabella.
"I thought black wasn't your color either?"
"Who said that?" I say as I get into the dress. As I looked into the mirror I realized that black reminded me of Devyn. I shake the thought away.
"Wow you look fierce."
"Thanks."I grab my things and give her a hug, making my way down to the lobby Looking for Ash's car, I find him parked on the right side, waiting outside his car with flowers.
"Didn't like the dress I got?" I saw that he color coordinated his suit to match the red dress and I suddenly felt guilt take over me.
"No, it's no that. It just didn't feel right for the occasion."
"Whatever you want, baby." He takes a step towards me and plants a kiss on my lips.
"Let's go." We drive toward the palace. It feels that I had actually spent time there, and surprisingly it felt like a normal house. They were having the wedding there because it was the biggest venue in the country.
As we entered, I was awestruck at how beautiful it looked.
"You guys made it!" Sierra and Gabriel walk over to us.
"Yeah we did."
"Come let's take a seat."
We all sit down as well as the other guests.
"Don't worry, after this formal part, we're all going to party." Sierra whispers.
"Fun."
"Shhh, they're walking in." Music played as the bridesmaids and groomsmen walk in, in pairs. I scan the crowd for Devyn, but she was no where to be seen. After all of them have walked down, the door opens again and it's the best man and maid of honor. Standing next to a tall muscular guy with an orange beard, was Devyn. She's in black from head to toe, just as I predicted. Her walk down the aisle radiated power, and her suit fitted her perfectly. As she reached the stage, she put her hands in her pockets. She pats down her suit, and looks around, and I realized that she was nervous, it was cute.
"Devyn looks badass." Sierra whispers to Gabriel.
"No one can rock a suit better that her, and look at her jaw line, damn I can cut someone with that." Gabriel replies and we all laugh. Ashton puts his hand on my thigh and I had almost forgot that he was sitting next to me. Riley is the last one to walk out, and we wait for Sloane, all of us anticipating the bride. A few minutes pass and she still doesn't appear. I turn to look towards Devyn and I see that she's just as confused as everyone, as she runs her hand through her hair. She whispers something to the orange bearded man, and heads off the stage towards the door again, and disappears behind it.
"What do you think happened?" I ask Ashton.
"Probably just wedding anxiety."
"Where's their father?"
"I don't know." As he finishes his sentence, the door opens once more and Sloane walks out, with her arm intertwined in Devyn's. Her father didn't show up?
They look beautiful as they walk down. Devyn looks at Sloane, and they both exchange glances. They don't talk but I know they understand each other.
The ceremony goes as planned after that. There's even cheers when Sloane and Felix kiss. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Iris walk toward Devyn.
"It's party time!!" Someone yells into the microphone, and the hall erupts into cheers. Everyone makes their way into a corridor that leads us into a ball room. It's huge. The ceilings are so high and the chandeliers look like stars. As everyone pours into the room, I lose sight of Ash.
"Looking for someone?" A voice says behind me.
"Yeah." I turn around to see Devyn. Her facial features are even more defined close up. She's almost too perfect.
"May I be of assistance?"
"It's just Ash, I'll find him thanks." I start to take a step away when she says something.
"You look good in black." My heart stops beating and I feel like I'm floating.
"I- Thanks? You do too."
"Oh, I know. It's my color." She says with a smirk. She gives me a salute and disappears into the crowd. Did she just compliment me?Devyn Ackerman?
"There you are!" Ash grabs me by the arm and takes me to the dance floor.
"What are we-"
"Let's dance." I'm about to object, but then I spot Devyn in the corner, staring. She sips from a cup. I smile at Ashton, and I put his arm onto my hips. His eyes get wider. The music plays and we start to move with the beat. I place my arms around his neck, getting closer to him. The slit in my dress exposes my right leg as I move, and he makes sure to let his hand travel up my thigh. As I steal a glance at Devyn, I see her loosening her buttons to her suit and then her shirt. She gives me a wink and grabs Iris from the nearby table.
"Everybody! On the dance floor!" The crowd roars and all the guests make their way there, and I feel like I have no rooms to move around. My arm brushes against someones, and I realize it's Devyn. She dances with Iris, and anger knots in my stomach, so I kiss Ashton.
She wants a show? I'll give her one.
