Chapter 8: "The Faces of Grief"

Once the signal is given, the Evil Nuts will rain upon Mitakihara..

Ryu panted as they began to frantically climb the Chi Tower, the four other clones sprinting closely behind him.

"Take this!!"

Tsuki soared through the air, making contact with the side of the building with her warhammer.

Pink lightning began to ride the wall, zapping at their legs as two of the felines lose grip, and begin free falling.

"Sayaka! Now!" Tsuki shouted, as she began to free fall.

In the blink of an eye, a glow of blue strikes the free falling incubators, slicing them in half. Their eyes go dim as they plummet toward the ground.

"Dammit! You two, distract them!" Ryu hissed, as it began to deadsprint up the tower.

The two clones acknowledged the orders from their master. Their ears began to glow as they kicked off of the side of the tower, soaring toward Tsuki and Sayaka.

"Hup!-"

Magic circles appear underneath Tsuki and Sayaka, keeping them from falling too far.

"Nice save, Sayaka!" Tsuki grunted, slowly standing up.

"We're not done yet! Look!" Sayaka pointed her sword at the two clones of Ryu, that hovered toward them.

"On your mark!" Tsuki readied herself.

The clones began to hiss as they closed in.

"Now!" Sayaka would point her sword, multiple copies of it soaring out from underneath her cloak, now flying toward one of the copies.

Tsuki raised her hammer, a flurry of gavels appearing in a glow of pink, beginning to soar toward the other clone.

The first clone is stabbed in multiple places, the life fading from it's eyes as it began to freefall, however the other one manages to dodge the gavels, raising it's ears as it makes sudden contact with Tsuki's soul.

"G-Gh!.." Tsuki gasps, her muscles clenching as her soul gem began to darken, substantially.

"Haaaaaaa!!-" Sayaka came flying toward them, and with one slash, she dispatches the only remaining clone, watching it drop toward the road below.

"You okay, Tsuki?" Sayaka asks, sheathing her sword.

"I'll be fine-.. Where's Ryu?" Tsuki rested her warhammer onto the magic circle, before looking up.

Ryu had just crawled over the top railing of the tower.

"No! We can't let him send that signal!" Tsuki shouted.

"There's nothing we can do about it now, we tried!" Sayaka readied herself, as the top of the Chi tower began to glow a bright violet color. A beacon soon began to rise into the sky.

Kyuubey sat on top of the Southward News station, perking it's ears as the beacon slowly rose into view.
