Chapter 12: "Our Mortal World"

Multiple strands of braided silver hair began to flow endlessly around the arena, a brilliant midnight violet robe flowing gracefully in the absence of air as ethereal wings fluttered behind the figure.

Gin could only stare in shock, her heart beating rapidly as she instantaneously knew who this was, from a timeline lost to the ages.

It was Homulilly, but not the same Homulilly that she had seen more recently. This was the Mortal World Witch, with enough power to completely rewrite all timelines should she choose to.

"H-Homura..!" Gin shrieked.

Unfazed, Homulilly continued hovering further and further into the air, before suddenly, multiple diamond-shaped projectiles began to circle her, as a faint hum escaped from the witch's visage.

The witch of light suddenly darted toward her at immense speeds, raising all of her arms in an attempt to strike down this foreign entity just as fast as she had emerged, however, overpowering the boundaries of the barrier, Homulilly had the upper hand.

Cracking the very walls of the labyrinth as she began to flutter around the witch of light, everything soon devolved into chaos right before Gin's very eyes.

".. No.. I won't allow this to continue!" Gin grunted, before withdrawing her pocketwatch. With the catastrophic damage to the delicate system that supported the negation of time manipulation, power once again flowed inside of the pocketwatch. Activating it, Gin held it tightly to her chest, as everything began to blur.

Gasping in fear, Gin opens her eyes to the sound of a car horn blaring. She watched as a car suddenly stops in the middle of the road, the hood flying off as a plume of white steam erupts from the radiator.

"..Damn.." Tsuki panted, as she slowly crawled out from the driver's seat. She stared at the foreign, yet familiar ring, fastened to her finger as she slowly made eye contact with Gin.

".. Wait a minute.. Woah- Woah woah wait a damn minute-" Tsuki immediately began to place the pieces together, looking at Gin, before looking at the car, and then her ring, and then back to Gin. ".. You rewound time!" She pointed toward Gin. ".. How the hell did you pull that off?!"

"When Homura broke the boundaries of the labyrinth, it destroyed the spellblock and allowed me to use my temporal abilities again." Gin immediately marched toward Tsuki. ".. W-Woah first off. A pink suit?"

"I.. I wanted to look flashy!" Tsuki blushed.

".. Enough of that. Come on! We have to go warn Ring, Sayaka, Mami and Homura of everything that's going to occur within the next few days!" Gin clasped Tsuki's hand, immediately dragging her along toward where the girls' residence is located at.

"Wait. If I am able to remember everything, does that mean Homura will?! Won't everyone?!" Tsuki panted.

"Not exactly! The amnesia only skips those who are closest to me at the time of the rewind! Since Homura was a witch at the time, there's roughly a fifty-fifty shot she'll remember, or she won't! Which is why we have to warn her of Ryu as a precaution! We cannot allow him to force her into a contract!"

"Nor can we allow Kyuubey to fragment Rei and kidnap Ring!" Tsuki nodded. "W-Wait, what about Juubey?! He isn't like the others!"

"We will worry about him when the time comes, now move!" Gin shouted, as the two of them raced down the street.
