chapter seven, speechless

𝔏ike many of the girls at Hogwarts, Bonnie was in full panic mode. The difference? Many were searching for quills and pieces of parchment for the Quidditch super star, Viktor Krum to sign, meanwhile Bonnie was wondering if she should've brushed her hair more before she'd come out and perhaps used some make up so she didn't have bags under her eyes from restless nights upon seeing her.

Bonnie had always been sure that she'd bump into the witch at some point. But she hadn't planned on it bring so soon, and at Hogwarts of all places. It was hard not to remember the silvery haired blue eyed beauty with fair skin, looking like she fell straight out of a fairytale book. She lived in France, went to a completely different school, and Bonnie had only ever met her once giving her no reason to find her again.

The sight of the fairy tale princess caused Bonnie's heart to pound, her hands getting clammy. And spending a whole year with her. Bonnie had been lucky in the crush department. Only ever crushing on two others and she barely had to spend time with them. Therefore she never got the feeling of butterflies in her stomach and never felt the rush of heat to her cheeks. And now, even in the cold air, with the wind nipping at her skin as she walked up the steps to the Great Hall, she felt a rush of all of those feelings.

It felt like a whirlpool of forgotten emotions, very suddenly being throw at her with the sight of the new arrivals.

The girl with the silvery blonde hair.

Fleur Delacour.

"What's got you so quiet, Bons?" Julia asked, cutting into the steak that was on her plate while glancing up at Bonnie having noticed the girl's odd behavior.

Cedric too quickly realized how odd Bonnie had been acting compared to a few hours ago. The normally bubbly girl had neither eaten and had remained quiet, two things that she never did. But sure enough. The strawberries she had collected were sitting in a pile on her plate as she leaned dreamily on her hand, clearly deep in thought. It was honestly shocking he hadn't realized sooner.

Bonnie looked up, as though only now realizing that they are there, causing his confusion to grow. It wasn't uncommon for Bonnie Bowers to daydream, in fact, she had mastered her way through lucid dreams which she often described in detail to him and often during Binns' class or any other class Bonnie considered to be boring could be scene staring out the window, eyes glazed over and truly not seeing anything but whatever ran through that creative wonderful mind of hers. However, today they all expected she'd pay a bit more attention, with the announcement of the tournament growing closer as the night dragged on.
