Candice had her stuff at Elena's as they were trying to find out who that was that Candice hit, plus Caroline would ask questions why she went to Georgia with Damon. "So what are we going to do about the new vampire?" She asked them.

"We'll have to keep watch." Stefan says. "And I had put vervain in these for you two to give Caroline and your other friends and family."

"Candice, can I give this to Caroline."

Candice nodded as she understood what was going on. Caroline has been ignoring Elena because of Matt. Which confused the hell out of Candice, but she could careless. Right now, she has to find an outfit or dress for the 50s decade dance.

At school, Candice was walking through the halls when she saw Elena and Caroline talking. Candice turned around as she tried to sneak away. "Candice Forbes, you get over here now."

"Shit." She mumbles as she walked over to her. "Yes, my dear and wonderful sister."

"Why have you been ignoring me?"

"Because I know you are about to answer the one question that I really don't want to answer." Candice said. "Please don't ask it."

"Why were you with Damon?" Caroline asked.

"And you asked it." She says and looked at Caroline. "I don't know."

Caroline looked at Candice's face making Candice roll her eyes at her sister. Caroline nodded. "You're lucky I can tell if your telling the truth or not."

Candice smiled as she linked her arm with Caroline's as they walked off. She was lucky that Caroline believed her because she was telling the truth. She didn't know why Damon wanted her with him in Chicago. Only person who knows that answer will be Damon and the man is stubborn as it is.

That night, Candice was dressed and ready for the dance. "Candice, can you call and see if Stefan is on his way."

"Is there something wrong?"

"Look."

Candice looked at the watch and nodded. There was a vampire near by. She dialed Stefan's number just to get Damon. "Damon, is Stefan on his way?"

"Yeah. Just left and left his phone behind. Why?"

"The Gilbert watch is sensing a vampire is near." She tells him. "Bye."

Candice walked downstairs looking for her shoes when she was attacked. "Candice!" Elena said as she ran downstairs just for Stefan to walk in and look at Candice after the vampire had left. "Are you okay?" She asked as she got to her friend.

"I'll live." She said. "Why does bad things happen to me?"

Elena and Stefan smiled at her as they waited for Damon.

Candice sighed as she stood by herself as Damon walked over. "Care for a dance?"

Candice nodded and walked with him. Caroline and Bonnie were shocked as was Elena and Stefan. "What is going on between them?" Caroline asked.

"Candice is his friend." Elena says.

"Its Candice. She sees the good in people even people like Damon."

"Or she has a crush on him." Caroline says. "I know my sister better than anyone."

Candice didn't know what was being said, but Damon knew what they said. They were just friends or so he thought. Candice smiled once the song was over. "Thank you, Damon."

Candice walked out into the hall to get some air when she was grabbed.

"Have you seen Candice?" She asked Damon.

"She was right there..."

Elena got a text about Candice being held captive by the vampire who acted her. Elena left to meet with the vampire worried for her best friend.

Candice sat in her room thinking about what he said. Damon has found a way to get to Katherine, but she thinks that Damon is wasting his time. Candice sighed as she laid down and dozed off.
