Needless to say, the first date was a success. I had been dating Sam for two weeks now.
Nothing had happened, a little hand holding and a kiss, but that's it. I was honestly dreading the day when he wanted to do more.
I was trying to study for the test I had tomorrow, but Kira and Maura were hosting their sorority, and there was so much noise. Callan yelled at me from his window.
"Kira and Maura are having a sorority party! I need to study for tomorrow's test!" I shouted back.
"What?!" He yelled back. I repeated myself.
"Come with me!" He shouted. I picked up my books and hurried down through the house, and out the door. I shoved my books in my purse. Callan wheeled out his motorcycle.
"No." I said.
"Come on. I am taking you somewhere quiet."
"Not on that you're not."
"Come on, you're completely safe."
"I doubt it."
"Here, you can take my helmet. Get on the bike."
"Fine," I heard as there were several screams and a crash in the house.
Callan drove the bike all the way to the jungley type Forrest of the island. He parked the bike and then started walking. I had to run to catch up with him.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"A quiet spot."
"I need something more general."
"Somewhere that no one will bother you."
"What, are you going to kill me or something?"
"No!" He laughed, "I found this place in like sophomore year of high school, and I come here when I need some peace and quiet."
"Oooohhhhhhkkkkkayyyyyy." We continued walking until we reached a little rocky area where we had to climb. Once we were done, we emerged onto some soft sand and large rocks, with the crystal clear Hawaii ocean was lapping up quietly. It was just a small clearing. Probably like ten feet across. But it was gorgeous.
"Why were you in the middle of the woods?"
"It was when Aida first became depressed and suicidal. She was a lunatic. Before, we had been best friends, but now she would either ignore me, or constantly scream shit at me. So of course I always wanted to get away. It was awful. I mean, I know your brother died of being sick, and didn't cause if himself, but I don't think people understand suicide. I mean, she was insane. We could have sent her to a therapist, but we couldn't afford it. She was displaying signs. She was coming straight home after school, and scribbling stuff in her notebook. We later found some rather, interesting pictures drawn into there, including ten different ways she was willing to go. She wouldn't talk to her friends, made them feel like it was their fault. She used to ride horses, she refused to do that. She started faking sicknesses in order to skip school. She would only eat occasionally, only to throw it up to get out of school. Towards the end, she was pale and even tights hung off her legs. She hadn't been to school in over two months, her eyes had dark circles around her. She used to have gorgeous dark curls but they had become matte and thin. She was a monster. She wasn't my sister at the end, and when I made that clear, that's what pushed her. I still blame myself, and whenever I think of it, I have to come here to keep from hitting someone." He was looking at the ocean, but I was staring at his pale blue eyes.
"I am so sorry, you didn't have to bring me here, this is your place."
"I've been meaning to share it." He turned to look at me.
"I am sorry about your sister." Our faces were like an inch apart. I was staring at his eyes. He moved closer, as did I, and then he pulled away.
"We should study for that test tomorrow." He said. He sat down on a rock and I sat next to him. I opened up my book and he started quizzing me.
