New York, forever

My roommates as well as Callan's had agreed that we would spend out breaks visiting each other before me and Callan had left.

Currently we were in the cab, driving through the bust streets of Manhattan to our apartment. It was exciting. It was a small two bedroom apartment that we would have a roommate to share with. Yep, we would have one more, almost eighteen year old resident living with us. We decided it was better she stay with me as Jared's place ended up being really small and also me and Cal were closer to her age. Linsey would be staying with us for free until she was eighteen and then she said she would start helping with rent until we decided she couldn't stay anymore. She was currently starring on Broadway as Cinderella every other Thursday and when the lead couldn't be there. She claimed that Broadway was actually very fun, and was where she should have been going all along.

We finally pulled up to the apartment complex. Callan paid the driver and we went in and got our keys and signed papers and stuff. I texted Linsey and told her we were here so whenever she wanted to come over was fine. We rode the elevator to the top floor and walked down the hall to our apartment. Callan picked me up and opened the door.

"Callan!" I shrieked, "you can't do that until we are married!" Then I covered my mouth. What if we didn't get married.

"Ugh fine you're right. When we are married thought you better hike up your skirt cuz I'm carrying you through." He said. I laughed. He set me down and we walked into our new home. It was beautiful. Well as beautiful as a two bedroom New York apartment could be. There was plenty of natural light and it was wooden floors and brick walls. It was perfect. I walked into the first bedroom. It was twin beds. I was pretty sure if she wanted we could push them together for Linsey and make a queen bed for her. Then we went to the other bedroom. It had a big bed in it and some tables and a dresser and a closet. We walked back out to the kitchen which had an island counter instead of an actual table. There was a stove and a sink and a dishwasher and a bathroom it was perfect.

"I love it," I said. Callan nodded. There was a tapping on the door and I went to get it. Linsey stood there with Jared who was holding a basket of food.

"I cannot believe you guys are finally here, and oh my gosh, it's so nice to meet you, Callan!" Linsey said even faster than when I first met her. Jared introduced himself as well.

That night we were pretty much settled in terms of living. We had all agreed that it would be more important to get our dishes and stuff put away as we could put shirts and stuff away later.

We all, all meaning me, Callan, Jared and Linsey sat around the island counter and ate pizza that we ordered from down the street. It was actually really good. Once we were done Jared said bye and we all went to our rooms. It would be my first night sharing a room with Callan. And it was obvious that he was just as nervous as I was.

"You know I can sleep on the couch if you'd rather!" He shouted.

"Or I can sleep in Linsey's room." I shouted back. That's when Linsey stomped into our room.

"First of all, you two, I have a show tomorrow which means I need to sleep. Callan you sit on the right side of the bed, k? Now Ever you go on the other side. Now pull the covers up and lay down. If you feel like getting cozy, do so, but please do tell about it, thanks!" She said. I laughed. She left the room, slamming the door behind her. I rolled my eyes and Callan chuckled. I rested my head on his shoulders and my body molded into his. A feeling I would soon realize I couldn't live without.

We woke up the next morning to natural light raining down on us from the window above our bed. Callan's arms were around me, holding me like his favorite teddy bear, and my head was resting on his chest I smiled so widely, disentangled my feet from his, carefully took his arms off of me and Got out of bed to make breakfast. Linsey was already out there quietly running her lines.

"Hey Cindy," I said in reference to her playing Cinderella.

"You guys are literally the cutest, I went in there to see if you guys wanted breakfast."

"Oh yeah what about your boyfriend?"

"Well I lived in Connecticut and it's like a two hour drive. We figured we could try to visit when we had time," she said, "you know you're so lucky you were able to get your boyfriend to move here with you. Not many guys would just give up their lives and move across the country just to be with a girl."

"I know. And I really am appreciative."

"So do you think you guys would ever get married? Or have kids?" I laughed at her comment.

"Well I don't know. Not yet, of course. Maybe in two years when we are pretty set on what we want to do with our lives."

"That is smart."

"I should go wake him. It's already half til twelve," I said walking towards my room.
