I could feel my stiff body being dragged out from the car. My body was scrapped on the ground by the broken glass.

The movement stops and I hear two voices.

"D@mn I didn't mean to kill her."
I feel two cold fingers against my neck.

"Naw she's breathing." I hear a masculine male voice say.

"Vivian if you can hear me I'm telling you to stay away from Jake. He's mine okay?"

"L-"
"Shh I don't need her hearing my name."

"Oh right." I hear a car start and them pulling off.

I groan in pain. I get myself up off the grundy ground and limp toward the side walk slowly. In the distance I could make out the sound of the ambulance.

I became aware of, a car nearing me.
"Vivian?" I turned.
It was Elijah.
" Can I give you a lift?"
***
We pull up to the hospital 3 mins later. In which I told Eli what happened to my wrecked car.

I hurry up and get out. "Thanks Eli."
"Woah I'm going in too. Your gonna need me."
I sigh.
"Okay come on."
We walk to the recipient desk. "I'm here for Lynette Knight." I say to the nurse.
I probably looked like dog crap but I didn't care.

"Come right this way." She leads us down the hall.

"You must be Viviana. Your friends are in the waiting room w/your siblings."

"We need you however in the room with your mom. You have to cut the umbilical cord."

"Okay." I mumble taking the fresh information in.

Eli goes to the waiting room while I go to the room putting on a mask and gown as I walk in.

"Hey mama." I smirk while holding her hand.

The doctor hands me the scissor like contraption as I cut away the greenish- blueish cord.

I cut away the skin. They put a rather big bundle in my mothers hands. "Mrs. Knight you have twins."

I feel light headed.
Twins? God help me.

My mom looks me over. Bags were under her pitch black eyes. Her curly black hair was in a messy ponytail.

"Vivian can you go with the nurse go fill out paper work and name the kids?" She gives me an reassuring smile.

"Yea, what do you want them named?" I ask.

"You decide."
My eyes bulge out of my head. I never thought I could ever be able to name kids beside my own. Now I can name my own siblings? This was amazing!

I follow the nurse to the small room where she cleans the babies leftover blood up.

I look at the paper and think.
I think and think.
This was so difficult.
I finally right 2 full names for each baby.

I go back to the room they've cleaned up my ma and area in which she gave birth.

I place my hand in my mothers. As she smirks kissing my forehead she said "Take out your phone and record me." Without hesitation I grab my cellular device. And start recording my mother.

"Attention my children and loved ones. This is Lynette Knight coming to you with my last words. I'm dying of Breast cancer."
I suck in my breath.

What? I continue to record for some reason.

"I was diagnosed 2 months ago. But I wanted to say to my sisters and brothers. Thank you for your protection and love. Thank you for caring about me when I didn't. And to my dear friends and other family members thank you for being apart of this journey. This road of heartfelt crap."

She chuckles causing an erupt of a coughing fit.

After she finishes she continues to speak.
"And to my children. Thank you for being my life my reason to fight. For being a lantern of passion. You are and forever will be my life."

"And to my dearest child Vivian. I Lynette Rebbeca Knight daughter of Simeon and Angie Riddick put my two newborn babies and other childeren in in your custody until legal age 18."

I gasp. Custody??

"Now I will leave this earth to go to a better place to be with my father and creator to be with my mother and father my little sister to be with my husband. To be with my savior."

I stop recording and fight back tears willing to fall. I needed to stay strong for her. Even if I wanted to hide under a rock instead of fighting my fears.

"Mama." I say choking back a sob.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"It wasn't important. Now listen: make sure you get married and take care of my babies. Okay."

I nod in acknowledgement.
I could see the spark in her eyes dying. She took a shallow breath.
I tightly hold her hand.

"I love you ma."

She smiles. And closes her eyes as the machine beeps and goes silent. I allow myself to break down. Doctors rush in but I don't care I look at the stiff body of my mothers.

"Mama no,no,no please." I beg. "Please."
Tears poured down my brown complected cheeks. I feel someone dragging me out as I scream her name she earned.
Mother.
----
I go to the waiting room crying and sniffling. Danie gets up rushing to me.
"Vivian! How did it go?" I look at her.
"Danie she's dead." Until I spoke those words i didn't think this was reality.
Just an unspoken nightmare. And now that I slap myself awake. The ice cold truth comes out she's dead.

As I look at the faces around me I stop when I come upon one I'd been avoiding: Kaz
------
I now sit at home with stone faced siblings and friends. I had gotten cleaned up. But i now have a healing scar to remind me of ny mothers death. It comes from my shoulder blade to my elbow. But that's not important. The babies would be out in two days. So this weekend I planned on buying their things.

I was making dozens of calls to relatives of the death.
And it dawned on me in the middle of a phone call with Aunt Grace.

That I've lost both of my parents and that was definitely a reality check.
