Chapter 13

Emery's POV

Do you know the feeling when you feel like the whole world stops. The way that you can't hear anything around you. The way your mind is on one thing that makes you feel like this. They way you can't catch your breath because you're running to the only person you have. The way you see your sister's friend Ciara waiting outside the hall with tears running down her face.

Flash back

"When we get older and have kids, we should name our kids after each other," Rain said, licking her ice cream.

"What do you mean?"I asked, putting my spoon of my ice cream in my mouth.

"Like when I have a kid I'll name one after you and when you have a kid you'll name it after me" said.

"Ok, when we get older" I said.

"Yup when we get older" she said.

Me and Rain broth laughed and ate ice cream.

End of flashback

Once I got closer to Ciara she looked at me and cry's more. At that moment I knew I lost her or she's getting worse. I pulled her Ciara in for a hug and we both cried to each other. We pulled away from the hug once we heard the door open. We saw a couple of doctors walk out, then we finally saw my sister's doctor walk out.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Your sister's heart stopped but we were able to save her," he said.

Thank god I most lost my little sister.

"But she unfortunately is not doing well, she's not doing bad or anything she's just not doing good either" he said.

That can be right, she was doing good for the part 3 weeks.

"But I thought she was getting better," I said.

"We did too but it's the Side effects from the cancer and chemotherapy" he said.

This can't happen, she was just doing good and now she's not.

"What do we do then" I asked.

"We are going to have her still do chemotherapy and we have to wait and see how she's doing" he said.

We just wait are you kidding me.

"You can see her now" he said and walked away.

My sister is a fighter and hopefully she will beat this.
Me and Ciara walked in and saw Rain, she looked so pale and tired. I sat on the left side of the bed and Ciara sat on the right side. I grabbed Rain's hand and smiled at her. She flashed a tired smile back, it hurts so bad to see her like this.

I heard a knock and looked towards the door to see Isaac, I forgot he gave me a ride.

"I'll be back," I said.

I stand up and kissed Rain on the forehead.I walked towards the door and opened. I stepped into the hallway and closed the door behind me.

"I know it's not any of my business but is everything ok" he asked.

Well he's going to find out sooner or later.

"No, my little sister has cancer and she's not doing well," I said.

Just by the look on his face he was trying to figure what to say.

"I'm sorry" he said "is there anything I could do" he asked.

I mean if you could find a way for my sister to have cancer then yes.

"Actually can you not tell anyone about this, I mean Zara knows" I said "but can you not tell her my sister is getting worse" I asked.

I love Zara and she's my best friend but I don't want her to know about this.

"Yeah" he said "is that why you wanted to work as a stripper cause you had to pay for the chemotherapy"
He asked.

"Yeah, it's really expensive and strippers get paid a lot so I had no other choice" I said.

"You don't have to work as a stripper . Me and everyone could help you pay for the chemotherapy" he said.

"Isaac, that's sweet that you want to but I don't want to feel like a charity case" I said.

"Ok, but you are my cousins best friend so if you need anything that I could help you with tell me" he said.

"Ok, oh and thanks for the ride" I said.

When Isaac was driving me to the hospital this dude was going 80 miles on the road, I was surprised we didn't get pulled over.

"No problem, take care ok" he said.

"I will see you tomorrow," I said.

"See you, good night," he said.

"Night" I said.

Isaac walked away and I walked back into the room to see Rain and Ciara asleep. It was a long night for us, I should probably get some rest.
