Hey Story Lovers,

I am excited to announce that I have reimagined my underground-themed book, now titled "Heart of the Underground." This project has been a labor of love, and although it took me some time to refine it while working on other stories, I am thrilled with the results.

In this new version, I've retained the names of three key characters but have made significant changes to the rest, enhancing the narrative and deepening the emotional connections within the story. My vision for "Heart of the Underground" is to lay the groundwork for a series, and while I'm still determining the exact number of books, I plan for it to extend beyond one installment.

I can't wait for you all to dive into "Heart of the Underground." Thank you for your continued support, and I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I have enjoyed writing it!

Warm regards,

As I reached for another bottle, Zara hurried over, her face pale

As I reached for another bottle, Zara hurried over, her face pale. "Emery, it's getting bad," she said, her voice strained. "There's a group causing trouble in the back. Salvatore's trying to talk them down, but... it's not looking good."

Before I could respond, another fight broke out closer to the bar, and I instinctively took a step back. A glass shattered on the floor, and the sounds of shouting filled the air. I glanced around, searching for a way out in case things got worse.

Just then, Nicholas reappeared beside me, his expression unreadable as he took hold of my arm. "You need to get out of here," he said tersely, his grip firm but not rough. "Now."

I pulled my arm free, my frustration flaring. "I'm fine, Nicholas. I don't need you to protect me."

His eyes flashed with annoyance. "This isn't about you needing help. It's about not being stupid enough to stay in the middle of a brawl."

"Maybe I'm not the one who's stupid," I shot back, the words escaping before I could stop them. "You're the one putting yourself in danger, playing the hero all the time."

"Someone has to," he replied coldly, turning his back on me as he refocused his attention on the escalating chaos. It was clear that he was more interested in dealing with the crisis than in exchanging any more words with me.

Despite the rising tension, I stayed behind the bar, keeping an eye on the situation. I wasn't about to run just because Nicholas told me to. Zara was near the back, talking urgently with Salvatore, and Gianna had disappeared somewhere into the crowd. I couldn't just leave them behind.

Suddenly, a loud crash echoed through the room. A table had been flipped over, and a fight erupted nearby. Without thinking, I stepped out from behind the bar, trying to get a better view of what was happening. In that instant, Nicholas was there again, blocking my path.
