Chapter 16

Emery's POV

Xavier started to follow Zara and Elijah because they were in-front of us.

"So I see you used the money I gave you," Xavier said.

I mean what was I supposed to do with the money? Plus I needed a car to get places, especially to take Rain to her appointments.

"I need a car," I said.

"And now you have one, but you don't look too happy," he said.

Ohh really, it's probably because I'm letting some douchebag drive my car and I'm in the car with him.

"Whatever,"I said.

I heard him chuckled which made me turn my head to him. He has one hand of the wheel and the other on the arms rest. For some reason he looks so good driving. Wait, what did I just say. I'm just going to pretend I never thought that.

"Take a picture, it will last longer," he said and winked at me.

I didn't even realize I was staring at him for that long.

"You're full of yourself" I said and looked back at the window.

"For some reason it seems you don't like me," he said.

Really I haven't even noticed. I rolled my eyes even though he can't see me.

"So why don't you like me" he asked.

Uhh are we really going to do this now. Since he asked, we are.

"Because what you pulled" I said.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

Is he dumb or something, do I have to spell it out for him.

"What you did in the private room" I said.

"Don't act like you didn't like it," he said.

I didn't like it. Did I like it?. It doesn't matter. I turned my head and he looked at me but then back to the road.

"I didn't like it," I said.

"Really cause it seems that I had an effect on you" he said.

Ok I admit he might have a little bit of an effect on me but i'm not going to let him know that.

"You don't have an effect on me," I said.

"Really"he asked "you didn't like the way I touch you" he said placing his hand on my thigh.

I choked on my breath once he placed his hand on my thigh.

"What were you saying about me not having an effect on you?" he said moving his hand up my tight.

This can go some many ways but I'm not going to let it. I snapped out of it and pushed his hand away from me.

"Took you long enough to move my hand"he said.

"And if I didn't, you would have done something" I asked.

"Yeah I would," he said.

I did not expect him to say that but since he did I wanted to know what he would do.

"And what would You do?" I asked.

He looks at me with that same smirk and chuckles and looks back at the road.

"I would have parked the car on the side of the road and taken you to the back seat" he said.

Wow I don't even know what to say. I pretty sure my check are a shade of red. I turned my hand around and looked at the road. The rest of the drive Xavier had but on the radio because sitting in silence was getting awkward.

Xavier pulled up to the Cheesecake Factory. I have never been here and by the looks of it, it's probably expensive. Luckily Xavier had paid me 5 grand for the private room.

We all parked next to each other. I hopped out of the car and went straight toward Zara since she was out of the car first.

"So what happened?" she asked.

Really, did they all plan this or something.

"Nothing, he was just being a douchebag" I said.

"What are we talking about?" Grace asked behind me.

"What happened in the car with Emery and Xavier?" Zara said.

"Omg tell me everything" Grace said.

I'm not telling them what happened.

"Nothing happened, he was just being a douchebag" I said.

Zara and Grace looked at each other and then backed at me.

"Sure" they said and walked away.

They're never going to believe me. I walked behind them and felt an arm over my shoulders.I looked up and saw Isaac.

"So you and Xavier?" he asked.

Really him too, I think the only one that hasn't mentioned me and Xavier is Elijah. Thank god.

"Nothing happened"I said with a smile and pushed him away.

"Ok whatever you say" he said with his hands up and laughing.

We were both laughing but I stopped once Xavier looked back. I don't know why, but I did.
