Chapter 32

Emery's POV

"You guys know each other" everyone says at the same time.

"Y-yeah me and Emery have the same classes" Zane said.

"Woah what a small world" Isaac said chuckling. 

"So I guess you're Emery" the guys asked.

I wonder who he is?.

"Yes," I said.

He walks over to me with his hand out. I take my hand and shake his.

"I'm Carlos, Xavier and Zane's father, '' Carlos said.

He is Xavier and Zane's father. WAIT THATS MEANS THERE BROTHERS. Are you kidding me?.

"It's nice to meet you," I said with a fake smile on my face.

"You as well," he said, taking his hand away from mine.

"So is dinner ready?" Carlos asked, looking at Xavier.

"Yes, father, " Xavier said, walking away, making everyone follow him into the dining room.

Everyone started to pick where to sit, then I felt a hand on my lower back and I knew it's Xavier.

"Come over here" he said, pushing me to the end of the table.

He pulls out the chair that for me and I sit down, well isn't he just a gentleman. Xavier pulls out the chair that was at the head of the table and sits down.

Carlos was on the other end of the table with Zane on his right and Elijah on his left. Zara is next to me and Grace is across from Zara and Isaac is in-front of me and Zane is in-front of  Elijah.

I looked at the food and it was steak with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. This looks and smells so good my mouth started to water.

"Dinner is served," Isaac said with a smile on his face.

Everyone started to eat and it was quiet, no one said anything which made me nervous in a way.

"So Emery, Xavier told me the good news," Carlos said.

What's good news, Xavier didn't tell me anything. I looked up at Xavier confused but he just looked at Carlos. I looked at Carlos and he's looking at me waiting for an answer.

"What good news did Xavier tell you?" I asked to take a sip of my water.

"That you guys are getting married" Carlos said, almost making me choke on my water.

I set my water down and looked at Xavier and he was already looking at me. Why they hell did Xavier tell his dad that. I'm so close to jumping out of my chair and choking him. I felt someone kick my leg and it was Isaac.

"Go along with it," he mouth to me.

I looked back at Carlos and he was eating his food. How the hell am I supposed to just go along with this. Not only that but why do I have to go along with it.

"Ohh yeah"I said with a smile on my face.

"So why do you guys plan on having the wedding?" he asked, taking a sip of his drink.

I didn't bother looking at Xavier cause I kicked his leg as hard as possible.

"Fuck you" I hear him whisper making me smirk.

"Well Emery is still in college" Zane said.

Thank god he said something.

"So are you planning the wedding during summer or after Emery finish college"

I was about to speak but Xavier cut me off.

"During summer" he said.

I snapped my head at him, almost giving myself whiplash. School ends in a month, is he kidding me right now.

"Well I can't wait" I hear Carlos with a big smile on his face.

"Me either" I said looking at Xavier who just looked at his plate.

I turned my head to everyone else and they all had a smile on their face. Why the hell do they have a smile on their face? Specifically Zara and Grace, wait did they know about this?. They definitely knew about this. I need some air.

"If you excuse me, I need to use the restroom" I said, getting up from my chair and waking up the stairs.

I walked into the makeup room and sat down on the chair and looked at myself in the mirror. All I can think of is why?. I snapped out of my thought when I saw Xavier walking into the room.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"To talk," he said, closing the door.

"About what" I asked even though I already know what he wants to talk about.

"Emery," he said.

"Why did you tell your dad that we were getting married?" I asked, turning to him.

He walks over to the couch in the middle of the room. He sits down and leans forward with his elbows on his knees.

"My father said if I wasn't married at 23 he would arrange for me to marry someone, and I didn't want that. He had brought it up a couple of weeks ago and I told him I had a girlfriend and had proposed to her already. He said that was good and wanted to meet you, so I planned the dinner and brought you here" Xavier said.

He did this because his dad was going to force Xavier into an arranged marriage.

"Why didn't you just tell me, beforehand?"I asked, standing up and sitting next to him.

"Cause I didn't think you were going to agree to doing it" he said sitting up and looking at me.

"So you just thought putting me on the spot would work?" I asked with a smile on my face.

"Yup" he said, chuckling.

"But if you don't want to go along with it,
I'll just tell him,"he said, looking down at his lap.

I kind of feel bad now. I mean if I do it what would go wrong?. Plus he did give me 5 grand for the private room so I think I could do this for him, right?.

"I'll go along with it," I said.

"Really"he said looking up at me shocked.

"Yes," I said.

"Thank you Emery" he said, pulling me in a hug.

I could smell the expensive Cologne he was wearing and how warm he was. 

"You're welcome, but the ring better look pretty," I said, laughing a little.

"It will," he said, pulling out from the hug but I didn't want him to.

"Should we go back down there?" I asked.

"Yeah, we probably should," he said.
