Song For This Chapter:

Everything About You- One Direction

"And I wanted you to know without you I can't face it
All we want to have is fun, but they say that we're too young
Let them say what they want
It's everything about you"

Darlene's POV:

"No that one is boring, plus those ones are always rigged" I say shaking my head when Harry suggests the game where you shoot the basketball into the hoops with the obnoxiously long net.

"They're all rigged" He adds a-matter-of-factly.

I roll my eyes, "Obviously, but the hoops on those are almost the exact size of the ball" I say trying to prove my point.

"You're underestimating my skills babe" He throws back cockily,

"You're telling me you don't want me to win you one of those cute little stuffed animals" He adds in a tempting manner.

I glance up at the stand and see a huge selection of stuffed animals, but my eyes land on a sparkly dolphin. It kind of reminds me of the one from Aquamarine which is one of my favorite childhood movies. I can't lie and say I don't want it but I also don't want to get my hopes up. I'll get attached to it before he even wins it, well if he wins it.

I ponder for a second imagining my possible new future with my cute blue dolphin,

I ponder for a second imagining my possible new future with my cute blue dolphin,

"Okay fine, but don't be upset when you waste your money" I say cautiously. If he thinks he can actually win it then go right ahead, it's his money I'm not gonna stop him.

Harry just gives me a winning smile before walking the few extra steps over to the game. He gives the guy his money and is told the rules. He only has three shots.

Harry grabs the first ball going to line up his feet before he shoots it at the hoop. It bounces off the rim just how I suspected it would, like I said rigged. You'd have to basically arch your shot perfectly for it to get in. My friend won me a huge blue teddy bear at our local carnival once playing this game, but it was pure luck.

My hope dwiddle even more when Harry misses the second shot, the ball seeming to bounces right out of the rim each time. He hasn't said anything the whole time, he's clearly concentrating hard. I think he realizes he's about to lose and he's a sore loser, just like me.

With the third basketball in his hands I watch intently even though I have a feeling the outcome will be the exact same. He launches the ball and my eyes are glued to it as it makes its way into the hoop.
