Song For This Chapter:
Roses-Chainsmokers
"Say you'll never let me go"
----
Darlene's POV:
What a wonderful Friday night to drag Harry to a Delta Chi party. I know he's most likely anything from excited right now but I have a feeling he's building it up to be a lot worse in his head then it's actually going to be.
I knock on the door of his apartment which I'm at extremely often at this point. But he's over at mine just as much so it's not like it's one sided.
Once the door is swung open I'm shoving the take out bag in my hand towards him, "I brought you food" I say with a smile on my face.
He glances down at my extended hand in amusement before taking it into his own grasp.
"I guess this can count as the entry fee" he jokes in a 'hesitant' voice, stepping to the side to allow me to walk into his apartment.
"You went to Cherry's?" he asks, walking past me and into the kitchen to set the bag down.
"Yup" I state proudly. He usually is always doing this kind of stuff for me so whenever I find an opportunity I try and do the same.
He begins pulling the food out of the bag, he still hasn't settled on his favorite item so whenever we go he tries something new. I just got him another new thing to try, hopefully he likes it or that would kind of suck.
"Why didn't you get yourself anything?" He says glancing up at me, his brows furrowed in confusion.
"I did, I ate there. Liam wanted to go out for dinner so we went to Cherry's" I explain, going to sit at one of the stools in front of the island.
"You went out to eat like...by yourselves?" Harry questions, completely pausing his actions.
"Yeah, he had never been either so I figured it was the perfect opportunity to show him" I state with a bit of excitement in my voice. I love introducing people to Cherry's, I feel like a proud Mom or something bragging about their child.
He just nods his head, his brows furrowed a bit.
"Do you guys go out to eat a lot?" he asks before clearing his throat and resuming his actions of opening up his food.
"No actually, this was the first time" I state, getting up and going to his silverware drawer to grab a fork for him.
I turn back towards him, extending my hand forward. He makes brief eye contact with me before quickly diverting his eyes to my hand to take it.
He finally opens up the lid of the styrofoam container to reveal his food, "So was it like...a date?" Harry questions awkwardly, trying to sound casual. But from the way his eyes are barely able to hold my gaze I can tell he's not showing his true emotions.
I widen my eyes at his statement, "No-no-no, not a date" I spew out quickly shaking my head now realizing why he's acting so strange.
"Does he know that?" he questions, finally holding my gaze and raising an eyebrow at me.
"I-" my mouth shuts when I realize I can't give him a sure answer.
