"Messiah you gotten so big since I last seen you baby." I said to my nephew sitting in front of him on the floor as he played with his toys.
Today was Christmas,and the whole family was back in our family house in Brooklyn,which hadn't happened in years. It felt good to have everyone back around for once,and for once my mother and nana weren't arguing.
"Ty" I called out for my brother,he looked down at me from the couch.
"Pass me a pillow. My butt hurts hitting on his hard ass floor. Where's Kayla?" I asked.
"Downstairs with everybody." He said throwing a pillow at me.
"You okay?" I asked him. He paused the game and looked at me. I took that as a chance for me to pick up Messiah and sit on the couch next to him.
"Is everything alright?"I said while looking at him.
My brother was now in college,we didn't talk as much as we used to and I hated that,but as we got older we simply didn't have time to talk to each other. That's really how it worked in my family.
"It's nothing,just missed you." He said to me,but looking at Messiah.
"I missed you too,We use to talk everyday. How's college though?" I said as Messiah started jumping up and down.
"It's light work for right now." He replied
"You like Louisiana? Out of all places why there?" I asked him curiously.
"Cause of you. Yb even still check on me sometimes." He said making me look at him.
"Who?" I asked.
"Your ex." He said laughing.
"Checking on you? For what?" I asked him.
"I fuck with him." He said,making me start laughing.
"What's funny?" He asked me.
"Nothing it's just weird seeing y'all friends. You never told me y'all was friends,since when?"
"Since the baby shower. We ain't start fucking with each other heavy until y'all broke up though." He said smirking.
"Mhm. Messiah let's go take a picture in your car." I said picking him up and placing him in the car I got him.
