Chapter twenty-four: Background check

"Kaelyn, you should know. That finding your ate may take more than a year of preparation." Sabi ni Riley at tinapik sa balikat si Kaelyn.

"What, why?"

"Because after closing Austin's case next week, we will be given a break. A month of no work. Then after that, training, and other preparation." Sagot ni Cassian.

"At, hindi mo pa Kaelyn nasasabi kay mama na sasama ka saamin at magtre-training. Kaya use the preparation time wisely. Wag kang magsisinungaling sa kanya, baka pati ako masisi sa decision mo." Sabi ko.

"Kailan ba start ng training ko?"

"Next 4 months." Sagot ni Riley.

"Apat na buwan? Magbibirthday si Asher in 4 months." Angal niya.

"You can leave anytime, di ka naman namin pinipilit." Sabi ni Ryota.

"How long will it take for us to move and make a move to Japan?" Tanong ulit niya, isa lang ang ayaw ko sa batang ito.

She is annoying, and has so much curiosity. Kaya kailangan mong sagutin mga tanong niya kung ayaw mong sumabog ang utak mo.

"More or less, 20 months." Sagot ni Riley.

Lahat kami pare-parehas ng reaction.

"20 months?" Tanong ni Calyx.

"Include niyo na simula nung case ni Austin. We have about 16 months more of preparation."  Casual na sagot ni Riley.

"Let's get back to where we are shall we."

"Shivani Stellard, siya ay isang leader ng isang organization noong nagtaksil siya sa mga Stellards. She is one of the smartest persons that we know, and she has strong insticts na halos parating tumatama sa sitwasyon. But, napatumba ko kaagad ang babaeng ito noong bago ipanganak si Ravenna." Sabi ni Riley at ipinakita ang itsura ni Shivani. 

Not gonna lie, she is real pretty. Sayang kagandahan niya when she's using it for bad reasons. 

"She can become a model." Commento ni Kaelyn. 

"Leo Cruz, boyfriend of Shivani Stellard. I don't know much about him, but some say he plays the guitar but also uses it to hit people. This man is deadly, just like Shivani. Parehas silang nakasurvive ng airplane crash na sila mismo ang cause dahil sinabihan lang ng kasama nila sa plane si Leo ng weird looking." 

"Insensitive move." Sabi ko at umiling. Nakita ko itsura ng Leo na yan. 

"Mukhang drug lord ang itsura, pero may looks pa din kahit konti." Sabi ni Hailey.

"Tss, mukha ngang basura anong looks dyan?" Cassian scoffed.

"Ashton Scott, Ex of Yvethe. Well ex ko din si Ashton. He was actually my partner when I was the female leader. But Yvethe stole him from me kaya nagtaksil siya sa company. Ashton's family was one of the investors of the Remingtons, but sad to say they died and all of the money was given to Ashton. He decided to buy his own house full of collection of guns. Some say na halos lahat ng ginagamit nating baril ngayon ay gawa ni Ashton."

"Wait, so sa kanya pa tayo bumibili ng baril? What the hell." Sabi ni Calyx.

"Merezza Park. Full blodded Korean but grew up in the Philippines. Siya ay naging kaibigan ko noon. But when she started doing more bad things at lumaki ang ulo, we stopped hanging out and I ignored her. Doing that Made her mad and furious kaya kumampi siya sa Stellards. Pero hindi din nagtagal umalis kaagad siya."
