Masyadong intense yung laban ng poker kahit hindi pa nagsisimula.
I can feel the tension sa gitna.
May isang round table kasi doon sa gitna with cards and shit that I don't know the call of.
"Marunong ba kayo ng poker?" tanong ko ulit.
"I know basic poker," sabi ni Calyx kaya napalingon kami sa gawi niya.
"You know how to gamble?!" Gulat na tanong ni Hailey.
"Us 3 knows how to gamble of course." Sagot ni Calyx at takang nilingon ko si Ryota na mukhang tangang palingon lingon sa ibang direksyon.
"May bisyo kayong ganyan dati? Bakit?" Tanong ko.
"We were a couple of messed up boys back then," sagot ni Ryota at hinawakan kamay ko.
"Tumigil na kami wag kami kung yun ang iniisip mo." Singit ni Cassian.
"Mind explaining us the rules?" Tanong ni Maeve.
"Basically they will each have poker chips. Those are use to bet. Red is $1,000 , Blue is $5,000 and Black is $10,000." Calyx.
"You will first bet the Ante, which is the lowest one. The each of you will be given 2 cards. Then you will look at it and decide if you're going to bet or not. Whenever there is a betting round you choose to fold to not play that round, check to match the bet, or raise to add more money to the bet. If everyone did not decided to check. the person that bet to the money wins easily." Ryota.
"Bakit parang ang dali naman?" Sabi ni Hailey. '
"Nope, if everyone bets on the money. The dealer will reveal 3 cards which is known as the flop. After revealing the flop, you will have to bet again. The dealer then reveals the next card which is the Turn. You will decide if you want to bet again, until they reveal the last card which is the River. You will see a total of 7 cards 2 on your hands 5 on the table." Sabi ni Cassian at tiningnan yung anim na lalaro ng poker.
"They will bet one last time until you guys reveal each others cards. The one with the highest value wins the pot." Dagdag ni Cassian.
"Okay I will take back what I said. Poker is too over rated to be this complicated." Sabi ni Hailey.
"We have slight changes to our agenda, Mr. Smith has an emergency and he has to leave tonights ball." Sabi ng spokesperson.
"We need to find a partner for Mrs. Albesa."
Nagtaas ng kamay yung 'lady'
"Yes my lady?" Tanong ng spokesperson.
"Watashi wa hitori de asobu koto ga dekimasu, jen wa arubesa to teikei suru hitsuyo ga arimasu."
"May we call someone who knows how to speak Japanese?" Sabi ng spokesperson sa mic.
Lumapit yung lalaking laging kasama nung Lady.
"She said that she would like to play alone, and Jane should partner up with Albesa."
"Okay, is everyone okay with that decision?"
Tumango naman ang lahat.
"The games may start now."
Naging tahimik ang buong paligid.
"Place in your ante." Sabi ng dealer.
The dealer shuffled the cards at tsaka ibinigay sa tatlong grupo.
I saw how the lady smirked.
The lady raised 5,000 dollars.
"Ganun agad kalaki ang itataya niya?" Tanong ni Hailey.
"She must be confident on what cards she has." Sagot ni Cassian.
"Pero pahiya naman siya kapag natalo siya." Ryota.
The dealer revealed the flop. And those three cards are. 4 of diamonds, 10 of diamonds, and queen of spades.
"I know what might happen here." Sabi ni Calyx.
"Ano?" tanong namin ni Hailey at Maeve.
"Just watch, mabilis to matatapos if the lady can pull this off."
After that, those 3 groups has bet $10,000 dollars. If my calculations are correct there are currently $40,000 in the money pot.
Grabe, kapag nanalo ka talaga sa mga ganto easy money.
The dealer revealed the Turn, it is 2 of clubs.
Yung mukha ng mga kalaban nung lady natatakot na when the lady is just casually looking at all of them. Tila chill lang siya at parang nabo-bored pa.
None of them betted. Kaya ni-reveal na yung River which is the last card. 7 of diamonds yun.
They all took a bet of $10,000 again.
"We will reveal the cards in 5, 3, 3, 2, 1."
Jane and Albesa has, Queen of spades and 7 of hearts. While Vacuez and Gandero has Ace of spades and 9 of clubs.
Biglang tumayo si Lady at nagsalita, "Korera no baka wa pōkā de uchi makasu no wa kantan sugimasu." Tsaka niya binato ang dalawang cards niya pataas at umayos sa pagkakaupo.
It landed near the 5 cards at ang nakuha niya palang suits ay King of diamonds and Queen of diamonds. Both are diamonds at matataas pa ang worth.
"She won." Sabi ni Cassian.
"Congratulations to the lady, she won the bet and $100,000."
Nagpalakpakan ang lahat kabilang kami. She really is that good?
"She did a flush, that's why she won." Sabi ni Cassian.
Hindi nalang kami nagtanong pa at baka sumakit lang ulo namin.
"Please gather around in the middle and ready for the auction."
Sumama kami sa crowd.
"I saw Austin and Yvethe 9 o'clock. Nagkasa na ng baril. kayo din maghanda na kayo." Sabi ni Riley.
"How about the others na iniisip nating kasama nila?" tanong ko.
"No sign of them at all." Sagot ni Riley. "Just be alert in every place."
"We only have one auction for today. And it is this book."
"Libro? Bakit libro?" Tanong ni Maeve.
"Auction is now open."
"2 million." Sabi ng isang tao.
"5 million." Sabi ni Gandero.
"8 million." Sabi ni Vacuez.
"100 million." Napako ang atensyon ng lahat sa nagsalita. It's the lady.
"No more? That was fast. 100 Million!" ibinigay nung lalaki doon sa lady yung libro.
"May I know your name?" tanong ng spokesperson.
Bumaba yung lady doon sa mini stage at inabot yung mic.
"My name is Ravenna Vesper Hendrix, it was nice meeting you all." Sabi niya at biglang tumakbo paalis ng Casino.
"That was fucking her?!" Sigaw ni Ryota.
"Tangina, I wasted my time." Sabi ni Cassian at napakamot sa ulo. "Naisayaw ko nga siya, pero... Aish I fucking hate this act Ravenna." frustrated na sabi niya.
May narinig nalang kaming malakas na kalampog.
"Let the real games begin!" Sigaw ni Austin.
