The Mystic Seven

Rigel

Rigel wakes up early in the morning because he felt that something is wrong. Then he heard someone say there he is get him.

"Makoto wake up we have to go"

"Wh... why, I'm still tired. Just a few more minutes" said Makoto

"No we have to go now"

Makoto sits up and sees why Rigel told her to get up. People were running through the woods coming straight at them with their weapons drawn.

"I see why we have to go" said Makoto

Makoto stands up and grabs her weapons. Then Rigel and Makoto made a break for it hoping to get some distance from the enemies

"How did they find us" asked Makoto

"They must of been hunting me all night, their probably after you now as well"

"Why" asked Makoto

"Because you were seen with me and they can't leave any evidence"

"Oh" said Makoto

After a few minutes of running people popped out from behind trees a few feet in front of them causing Makoto and Rigel to stop. Shortly after they were surrounded.

"Shit, this isn't good"

"Looks like we're gonna have to fight" said Makoto

"I was hoping to avoid conflict but it looks like it can't be avoided"

Rigel pulls out his bow and loads it with a arrow and Makoto pulls out her spear preparing for a fight. At first there was silence then the enemies began to charge. Makoto and Rigel fought for their lives. Makoto thought about enchanting her spear with her flame powers but realized she might burn them forest down so she decided not to do that. Rigel loaded arrow after arrow killing the enemies with each shot he took. Makotos weapons clashed with the enemies weapons but, she managed to get the enemies off balance and when she did she stuck her spear in the enemies chests. They fought off many enemies and when they were done 3 dozen bodies layed across the floor.

"Phew that was a little difficult" said Makoto

"Yeah that was a little dif..."

Rigel begins to spit up some blood and looks down to see a small child sticking a dagger into his side. Rigel falls over clenching his side because the stab was causing him incredible pain. Makoto looks on the verge of tears but Rhodes tears were quickly overtaken by anger and Makoto was about to get vengeance against the small child.

"I'm going to rip you apart limb by limb" said Makoto

Makoto starts walking toward the child who is now quivering in fear

"I... I'm sorry" said the little child

"It's to late for sorry" said Makoto

Makoto pulls her spear back out and gets ready to kill the child but, Rigel sees this. Rigel gets up despite the pain and runs toward Makoto who is about to kill the child. When he reaches Makoto he puts his arms around her and stops her from killing the child.

"Rigel let go of me" said Makoto

"No, look at what your doing" he says this with tears filling his eyes

Makoto pauses for a second and looks at the child who is shivering with fear as tears roll down his face. Makoto realized that what she was about to do was terrible. She dropped her spear and it clattered against the ground and she drops to the ground and start to cry.

"Rigel I'm so sorry" Makoto said while crying

"You should be very sorry for what you we're about to do but the good thing is that you didn't kill the child"

"He stabbed you and I just lost it, I was so mad and I was going to kill him" said Makoto while she is still crying

Rigel puts his hand on Makotos shoulder to help calm her down

"He just got mixed up with some bad people"

Makotos crying begins to slow down

"You need to stop doing things out of revenge. The only reason I refuse to join your team is because of that. I don't believe in doing things out of revenge because it can and will slowly start to turn you into a bad person"

"I... I understand, I will stop doing things out of revenge" said Makoto as the last of her tears rolled down her face

"Hey kid, your free to go now. Don't get mixed in with those kind of people."

The kid was shocked and crying but, he nodded and ran off

"Was that the group that was after you" asked Makoto

"Yes, but those were only some of the lesser people of that group. There are 5 leaders of that group and the only way for them to stop coming after me is to eliminate them"

Rigel sits on the ground

"That group has ruined the lives of many people and killed dozens of innocent people"

"That's terrible" said Makoto

"Yes, that's why we must eliminate them in order to bring peace for the towns people"

"I understand" said Makoto

Rigel puts his hand on his side where he was stabbed

"Oh no, I forgot that you got stabbed. Are you ok" said Makoto

"I'm fine"

"Take off your cloak and let me see" said Makoto

Rigel hesitated at first but he complied. He took off his clock and Makoto noticed that he was wearing a white T-shirt underneath along with some pants. Makoto pulled up Rigels shirt to look at is wound.

"This is bad" said Makoto

Makoto raps up Rigels wound and before he put his cloak back on Makoto took in as much detail as she could. She noticed that Rigel had green eyes like hers, he was a little muscular, and she noticed that his skin tone was like a light brown.

"Thank you for wrapping up my wound"

"It was no problem, I'm happy to help" said Makoto

Makoto and Rigel were about to leave when they heard a voice behind them.

"Well well well I thought you'd be around here" said the mysterious figure

Makoto and Rigel turn around to face the person talking to them. When they turn around they see the person holding the head of the boy Rigel saved. The person then threw the head of the little kid down at their feet.
