Denki Kaminari
•⊱—≬—⊰•

Roughly two weeks had passed before Todoroki was discharged from the hospital, but arrangements had been made for the Todoroki family to continue living in their household in Japan. Todoroki was still expected to rest and recuperate until he was capable of safely maneuvering around his house, but even then, he wouldn't be able to participate in anything that required vigorous exercise.

Kaminari was ecstatic to see his boyfriend out of the hospital, so the day Todoroki was released, Kaminari visited him at the Todoroki residence for the first time. He knocked on the door to the grandiose living establishment, and soon enough, he was greeted by a pulchritudinous woman with flecks of crimson mottling her snowy hair.

"Oh, hello!" the woman hummed. "You must be Kaminari—Shoto talks a lot about you. I'm Fuyumi." She stepped aside and gestured for Kaminari to walk inside.

Kaminari nodded as his grin flushed with a subtle tinge of cozy embarrassment. "Hiya, Fuyumi. Last time I checked, I was still Kaminari, so, yeah, that's me," he chuckled while gazing around the massive Japanese-style house. "How's he doing?"

"I think he's doing pretty well, but he hasn't said anything since he was discharged," she sighed. "Here. Follow me, and I'll show you to his room. Oh, Kaminari? If you see anything sharp in his room, please confiscate it." Her expression was obscured by the fact that she was walking in front of Kaminari, but after hearing her tone, Kaminari pictured a slight frown in his mind.

Oh, Kaminari thought while verbally agreeing to the simple request. That makes sense. Wouldn't want a blind person getting a preventable injury. Ouch. Imagine stepping on glass. Ugh, I don't wanna think about that.

Once they arrived at Todoroki's room, Fuyumi knocked on the door before waiting a moment, cracking the door, and then opening it up. "Shoto, someone's here to visit."

Todoroki was sitting upright in his futon, and although he seemed to be staring directly at Kaminari, Kaminari wondered if his friend could somehow still see him at all. Todoroki gently lifted his left fingers—minus his pinky finger—as though he had been scratching the air.

The sulfur-haired student approached his boyfriend and cupped his hand over Todoroki's hand. Feeble, almost mechanical digits prowled unhurriedly across Kaminari's hand before reaching up to the latter's chin. Then, a microscopic smile materialized on Todoroki's lips.

"Ka...mi," the youngest in the room whispered.

"You got that right," Kaminari chuckled. "Just from feeling my hand and my face? That's awesome!" As his grin nudged against his cheeks, Todoroki brushed his thumb over the former's lips.

As Fuyumi walked up to the two, she also grinned. "Are you guys hungry at all? Can I get you anything?" Her eyes flicked between her brother and Kaminari.

Todoroki remained still and silent while Kaminari replied, "If it isn't too much trouble. I'm not picky, so whatever's easiest, yeah?" He nodded.

"Sure thing." She peered over at her brother. "Shoto...you already know what Father said. I know it's not your favorite, but it'll help you heal. So, I'll bring you something as well, and I want you to eat some, okay? Just some. Kaminari, would you be able to help Shoto with that? I have to pick up his prescriptions soon."

"Of course I can." With that, Fuyumi exited the room, leaving the couple alone in the waves of silence. "Not feeling like talking, Shu? That's okay. Hey, since your arm's in a sling, what if you gradually trained your ice Quirk to make complex shapes, like letters?" He sat beside Todoroki and intertwined their fingers again.
