You stare at Jaehyun grabbing the ring, and everyone around you stares

he smiles at you and keeps waiting for a response

you smile back at him and nod

-yes, yes I will marry you- you say in between sobs, and everyone around you cheers

Jaehyun gives you the biggest smile he has ever given you and shakily puts the ring on your finger

he actually did it; he actually proposed...

You and Jaehyun head out, and before exiting the restaurant, you turn to nod at Mingyu, but he is busy talking to the people at his table.

The whole ride home, you are holding hands quietly, and you start to look at your ring every once in a while. it was charming and simple, just what you wanted it to be

life felt as if it was perfect

as soon as you arrived home, your mom opened the door and screamed to Jaehyun in excitement

-Did you do it??- she asks

-yes, I did- he says while closing the door of the car

your mom jumps up in excitement and goes to hug you, you show her your hand, and she starts crying, which makes you cry too

you and your mom are hugging and crying with joy when she makes a gesture to Jaehyun to join in the hug, and the 3 of you remain hugging on the front lawn of your house

It had been 2 days since you got engaged. Jaehyun had only asked for the weekend off, so he needed to return that day, and you were going to leave with him, but since your mom needed help because she was close to opening her 2nd coffee shop, you decided to stay just 6 more weeks, since that is the time that was left until the 2nd store opened.

You and Jaehyun say your goodbyes, you hug him tightly since you just saw him for the first time in months, and you won't see each other again until the next month

-Are you sure you can go back?- he says

-I'll catch a taxi, don't worry- you say and smile at him

-I love you- you say and close your eyes; you try to take a mental picture of this moment

- I love you too, y/n- he says, and within a few minutes, he has crossed to the "passengers only" area

You walk out of the airport and motion for a taxi to come over.

You receive a call. It was Mingyu

-well, hello there, engaged y/n- he says as soon as you pick up

-don't say it like that- you say and scoff

-are you free?- he asks

-I just sent Jaehyun off at the airport, and I'm about to grab a taxi. Why? what's up?- you reply

-No, don't grab a taxi. I will give you a ride- He says

-Mingyu- you say

-Come on, I am close to the airport anyways- he insists

-Fine- you agree. A few minutes later, Mingyu shows up in his dashy car

-One ride for y/n?- He says as he rolls down his window and flashes a smile

You get on the co-pilot seat and put on your seatbelt, but Mingyu, instead of driving he stares at you, smiling.

-what?- you ask nervously, not knowing why Mingyu was acting this way
