(It's Not Up To You - Björk/Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astley)

~I wonder, what kind of jokes can a corpse tell? – Mikasa Ackerman~

Walking into the community room of your hideout, you noticed yelling coming out of it. You entered the room, majority of the members were there, watching a fight between Sasori and Deidara. You looked at them quite, confused, wondering what happened this time.

"Oh my explosions!" The blonde one yelled as the puppet pulled him by his long hair. You let out an annoyed sigh as you went towards the fighting idiots. Just to walk right past them. "Use your puppet strings!" You advised him, knowing for a fact that Deidara stole something from Sasori.

You didn't stop walking, until you entered the kitchen. Aiko followed you. "Can we continue with the training?" She asked, wanting to develop her skills. "Are you sure? You seemed pretty mad yesterday." The teen crossed her arms and scoffed. "I wasn't mad." She avoided your gaze. "Sure. It wasn't you who stabbed Hidan with a fork and raised their voice when talking to Pain. I may didn't eat with you guys, but Pain-sama called me into his office, so don't lie." You told her, moving right in front of her with a straight face.

Aiko gulped in fear. "Are you angry?" She asked, making you giggle. "No. I'm actually impressed you had the guts to do such thing." You said, taking a step back. "Now come! We'll train." You took her wrist, dragging her out, completly forgetting why you walked into the kitchen in the first place.

----------------------

Hiding on a branch, you watched how Aiko kept her eyes shut, while trying to concentrate on all the chakra around her. By now it was easy for her to sense your chakra, but when you hide it, she had a way harder time. Sitting on a branch wasn't as exciting when there was no surprise attack coming for you. You still needed to help her, develop her chakra sensing abilities. So you had no other choice, but to accept it.

Since you trained with her so often, you hadn't much time to master the god mode yet. But the first stage was already mastered by you. When doing this kind of training, you used it as a chance to train yourself. The mastering of the god mode contained meditaning and showing your good spirit. Showing that you had a good spirit was the harder part.

Back to what was happening right now. Aiko sensed a strong chakra. It was terrifying. Her eyes flickered from green to orange. "Y/n! I don't have a clue were you are, but I can sense the chakra of the nine tails." You stopped meditating. There was red chakra surrounding your body. It vanished rather quick.

You jumped in front of Aiko. "Go back to the hideout. I'll be away for a few hours." The teen raised her eyebrows. "Huh?! What are you planning on doing?" She wondered, not being a fan of you leaving mid training. "You should remember the promise you made." You replied. "Yes, of course. I shall never hurt Naruto... Blah blah." She walked away after that.

-------------------

Naruto injured his sensei, he was about to kill him as you jumped in front of the sannin. After spilling a bit of blood on the Jinchuriki, you made hand signs. At the end the palms of your hands touched each other. The orange chakra left Naruto, moving now towards you. A ball out of the chakra formed in your hands. You smashed the ball on the ground, so you would be able to catch the boy, before he fell to the ground.

You layed him next to Jiraiya. Both of them looked terrible. He tried to stand up, so he could protect his students. "Woah! Sit down. I'm here to help, not to capture Kurama." You ensured him. "How can I trust you?" You sighed, thinking about how to explain all this. "Well you may or may not know that Naruto-kun is my cousin. I'll tell you a secret; hurting him is the last thing I want. Now let me bring you to the hospital, before you die. I don't want Naruto-kun to live with the guilt of killing his sensei." You told him. He didn't trust you one bit, but what choice did he have?

Both were unconsious as you arrived. They were brought away to get treatment immediately. "Oh! Hello Y/n-san." A nurse called you. You wondered how she knew you. Soon enough you remembered what happened on the last mission. "Ah! Hello!" You greeted her, still not knowing her name. "Thank you for helping us so much. What brings you here this time?" She asks with a kind smile on her face. "I found two injured Hidden Leaf Shinobis. I just want to be sure that they'll be fine." You explained as she looked at the paper, which she held.

"Hidden Leaf Shinobis." She mumbled, looking for their informations. "There! The sanin is currently getting medical treatment. His ribs are broken. The boy on the other hand should be fine. He's resting currently." The only response you gave was a nod. She leaned towards your ear. "I'm usually not allowed to, but you could go see him. If you like."

The nice nurse let you alone with him. You sat in a chair next to him. The only thing you felt was guilt. There was so much you blamed yourself for. You had to hide it. No one was allowed to know. As long as Naruto was fine you were too. You bite your thumb, letting the blood drop on your cousin's seal. You closed your eyes, performing one of your jutsus.

"What are you doing here?" A deep voice spoke. Your red eyes looked into another pair of red ones. There sat a big orange fox in front of you. "Oh my god! I knew it! You are cute." You exclaimed in an excited tone. "Watch your mouth Y/n." He warned you. "Yeah yeah- Wait! You remember me?" He scoffed, looking away from you. "How can I forget a annoying human like you." Kurama told you. "Now answer my question." He was more demanding than before.

"I want you to promise me to protect Naruto-kun if I'm not here. I really car-" The fox rudely cut you off. "Why would I promise something like that?" He asked, amused by you. "Friends help each other. And before you try to deny it! We are friends, I don't care what you have to say. Accept it!" There was no reply coming from him. You cleared your throat. "I want to pet you."

The fox looked at you in disbelieve. What was wrong with you? He sighed, getting his head dow. He knew better than to make you angry. Kurama had his fair share of L/n interactions. Their chakra was terrifying. It didn't match with his in the slightest, but it was enough for him to respect you.

Your smile grew brighter as you started to pet him. "I'll help you, but you owe me something." He spoke, moving his head away from you. "Aww! You're much nicer than expected." You spoke with a chuckle. "Whatever." After getting your will, you left to buy food.
