"Little Y/n, wake up..... Wakey wakey!"

You woke up from a strange dream. One that seemed so real. You dreamed about meeting this Uchiha. The one who everyone talked about. You couldn't explain, why he wouldn't get out of your mind. You didn't move, not wanting to stand up. That was until your best friend decided to kick your sides a bit. "Come on! We have a mission." Hotoke whined. You sighed, opening your eyes, "Do you mind, Toke?" You held out your hand, implying that Hotoke should help you up. 

"A mission?" You repeated his words as he pulled you up. Afterwards the half Uchiha started to walk towards the gates. "Yeah! Apparently they're Shinobi's from the sound village." He explained his past words further. At the gate, two Shinobi's awaited you. One greeted you with a small smile. The other one looked impatiently at the ground, until he met your eyes. 

"Nice to meet you! My name is Uchiha Hotoke." By now Hotoke was the only one smiling. The rest looked rather annoyed. As if they were forced to be a part of this mission. "I'm Dai. And who are you?" Dai moved closer to you mid talking. "Y/n." You spoke, not being a fan of the way Hotoke looked at Dai. "You know, non-talkative people are just my type." The impatient one smirked, afterwards winking.

You noticed how your best friend was about to open his mouth, probably planning on saying something that would start a fight. Therefore you shut him up by taking his wrist. "I don't care." You walked past Dai and his teammate with the hope of this mission ending as fast as possible.

"Who do we have here? Uzumaki Y/n, the monster of her clan." There was an amused voice. You looked at the person with the all too familiar voice. Following your first instinct, you pulled out your katana, placing it against his throat. "You still have anger management issues?" Soon enough you noticed his head band, confirming that these two were the Ninjas you awaited. You lowered your katana with a sigh. "These were just my reflexes." 

"Who is this, Y/n?" Aiko wondered, now standing right next to you. "Dai." You explained, arms crossed in front of your chest. "Are you-" Dai started as you stopped him by opening your mouth. "What's your name?" You questioned his teammate. "I'm Haruka!" She answered, taking a step forward. "It's nice to meet you." You said, then introducing your teammates.

You started walking, your goal being the village, where you were supposed to steal the scrolls. Throughout the walk, you wondered what problems you could run into. Would there be Ninjas attacking you? The village was highly guarded and if an outsider approached it, their life would be at risk. You could only speculate what the village's Ninjas would be like in a fight.

The thoughts stopped due to Dai starting to talk. "Where's Hotoke? From what I remember, he never left your side." You met his eyes, not sure what to say. "He's dead. I killed him some while back." Eyes now on the ground, you made sure not to show any emotions. Dai on the other hand, didn't try to hide his surprise. "Really? How did that happen?" He wondered. "He tricked me and then my wolves ate him alive." This wasn't the truth. Well, more or less.

"And now you replaced him with another Uchiha?" You looked at him slightly, wondering whether he was trying to make you upset or if he was genuinely mad. "Do you mind staying out of my business?" Dai frowned at your reply. "Yes, I do mind. Do you-" To your luck, a few Ninjas appeared with the intention of eliminating you.

There were eight opponents, four hidden, four surrounding you. You told Aiko to stay by the side with Haruka. Itachi and you decided on him putting out the hidden Ninjas, while Dai would focus on the ones surrounding you with your help. It all went smooth, until Dai got hurt, while trying to protect you. In less than a second, the last Ninja was taken out by Itachi. Dai was bleeding, blood coming from his arm. It didn't seem to be anything severe. 

He looked at you, seemingly expecting something. This time you frowned, being confused. "I think he wants you to thank him." Haruka whispered to you. "For?" You wondered. "Are you kiddning? I saved you from getting hurt." Dai answered your question, being quite annoyed by you. "No one forced you to do that." You informed him. In the end, you didn't care about him. He made fun of Hotoke every mission you were on. Not to forget the time, where Toke got into serious trouble after Dai sabotaged an important mission, afterwards blaming it on your best friend. "You didn't change one bit!" Dai complained, walking off. 

The five of you decided to rest. After all, you didn't need to stress about a deadline. While the others set up a fire, you and Itachi set up traps around your resting spot, so you wouldn't be interrupted by anyone. "Would you like to talk about you killing Hotoke?" Itachi asked, not believing your past words. "Would you like talking about the Uchiha massacre?" You mocked him, not believing his lie either. Suddenly he stopped in his tracks. "I was left with no other choice." He took a step closer to you. "I had to protect the hidden leaf village and my brother." 

Itachi avoided your eyes, wondering how you would react. You just starred at him, not believing that he actually talked about it. After taking a quick glance at your expression, he calmed down. "Hm? I trust you, isn't that what you wanted?" He wondered. "Sorry, it took me off guard." Itachi nodded at your response, being even closer now. "You can't talk about this with anyone or you'll get killed." As serious and threatening he sounded, you couldn't help but be happy about him opening up. "I'll keep my mouth shut then." He took your hand to lead you towards the next spot, where you would set up a trap. "Good." 

Back at the resting spot, you immediately walked over to Dai. Without saying a word, you treated his wound. The last thing you needed was a burden. One of your current teammates being hurt, basically equals a burden. This may or may not have been the only reason. It has been years since you saw Dai. Therefore he could have changed. "I take it back." He broke the silence. "You actually changed a lot. You seem happier." 
"Ew. Shut it. You're embarrassing yourself."
