(Fever Dreans - Kill Sister Kill/Centuries - Fall Out Boys)
~The loneliest people are the kindest. The saddest people smile the brightest. The most damaged people are the wisest. All because they don't wish to see anyone else suffer the way they did. – Jellal Fernandes~
Walking out of the hideout, you completely ignored the other members. You focused on not breaking out in tears. It was dark outside. Dark and quiet. In an attempt to not show emotions, you started meditating. The last thing you wanted to be was emotional. You suddenly felt an great amount of energy going through you. Opening your eyes, the darkness was gone. It was replaced by a bright light. Everything you once felt was gone. Whether it was emotions or your clothes, you couldn't feel a thing.
"Y/n?"
This was unbelievable. This couldn't be real. He stood right in front of you. He talked to you. He smiled at you. Nothing changed about Hotoke. There was a difference. Toke had more knowledge for once in his "life". Entering the third stage sends your spirits to the world of the dead L/n's. The ones who you knew once they were alive. Or at least those, who you wanted to see.
The moment he looked at you, he knew that something happened. Someone hurt you. Your expression didn't look different one bit, still, it was obvious to him. This smile you wore wasn't the one he loved. It bothered him. "What's up with you?" His eyes fell on you, while he talked. "Except the sky... And the fact that you're talking to me." Toke grinned at you.
You had to think twice before answering. Should you be honest? What stops you from telling him? That's right. Regardless whether he was dead or alive, you loved Hotoke and he loved you. Either way, lying wouldn't work out when it came to him. "I assume my hopes were too high and now I'm a bit hurt, because..." You couldn't say it out loud. Not in front of him. "So you fell in love again, huh?" He made you look up to him. After nodding, you realized something. "What do you mean by "again"?"
"We both know you were in love with me! This is not my ego talking." You raised your eyebrows at his statement. "Or is it?" His significant smile didn't leave his face as he looked at you, waiting for a response. The only reply you had for him, was a laugh. While you wanted to be mad at him for never saying anything earlier, you knew better. You never said anything either. "Seems like you're not a tsundere anymore, since you confessed and telling by the way you act." Your smile dropped. "I don't know what you're talking about." You spoke, playing stupid.
"Let's be honest, it's alright if you're upset, but whoever rejects you is stupid. I don't make the rules." That's the problem. He isn't stupid. "I don't know." You said, stopping yourself as soon as you noticed Hotoke's expression. "Pardon? "See your own worth." That's what you told me my whole damn life." He mocked me, scoffing afterwards. "Who is it?" Toke always was curious who it would have been after him. "Uchiha Itachi." Alone by saying his name, you felt upset.
Your dead friend was speechless. He knew Itachi. One of Shisui's closer friends and Sasuke's older brother. A prodigy, who wasn't truly meant to be a Shinobi due to his kindness. Toke thought of him as annoying. That he somewhat stood in Itachi's shadow was one reason. There was one more. "Wow! The one who attempted to kill my little sister." He shook his head, not being serious. He knew about the circumstances.
"My apologies." You avoided his eyes. This was awkward. "He's a liar. I'm sure of it. Uchiha's are complicated. Especially when it's about love." He said, having now even more reasons to dislike his fellow Uchiha. The darkness came back. Everything around you started to darken. Toke looked at you, his expression told you about his guilt. Guilty? What did he do? The darkness was now closer. It was about to reach the two of you. "It'll be fine." That's all he said. His last words. For now.

The next day. You felt awful, so uneasy. Life wasn't going according to your plan. Well, there was never a real plan or anything, but you didn't intend to fall in love. Getting attached to people wasn't your favorite activity. Not after all of them died. You couldn't change it. Therefore, you chose to accept it. Humans are creatures, in need of social interactions. Where was the point in ignoring these emotions? The only way you could achieve happiness was by embracing the... Love. It was worth a try. Itachi was worth it.
On your way to the kitchen, you ran into Deidara and Hidan. "Who hurt you?" Hidan asked, placing an arm around your shoulders. "The Uchiha. I already told you." Deidara said, being annoyed. "I swear if you two are going to fight. I will break your bones." You spoke, after taking a deep breath. "Whatever. Do you want me to kill him?" The Jashinist suggested. He gave his best to be nice. "You're not planning on sacrificing him, hmm?" Deidara wondered. Genuinely wondering. "No! Someone like him doesn't deserve to be one of Lord Jashins sacrafices." That was the insult you have heard this month. "Aww! You're so cute in your own creepy way." You said as you entered the living room.
Hidan stopped walking, putting his arm away from your shoulder. He turned around and left. "Strange." You mumbled, continuing with walking. Suddenly a certain teen jumped into your arms, causing you to fall backwards, catching yourself soon enough. "Aiko?" You called out. "Yes! Good morning! I made breakfast. How about you tell me storys about our clan. I know that you love to tell storys about those hoes." She said pretty excited as she dragged you into the kitchen.
"Did you kill someone, kid?" You stopped her from walking. Everyone was so weird today. "Yes. Itachi." She admitted. It was hard to tell whether she was joking or not. Your eyes widen as you tilted your head. "What?!" This made her laugh. "Just kidding. I'm just trying to be nice, enjoy it." she told you with a smile as you rolled your eyes with an reliefed sigh.
Aiko served you breakfast. She sat right in front of you, waiting for the "stories". After clearing your throat, you began. "There were five separated groups of our clan. Each of them had their own element, which they could posses. Fire, water, earth, lighting and air. A few were able to control humans and genjutsus too. It pretty much depends on your chakra nature." You stopped as Aiko opened her mout. "How comes you can posses all of the above? Except genjutsu." She had to hold back her laughter at the end.
You smiled, being happy about her interest. "There has always been one, who could use all elements. Genjutsus are another topic. You could view it as their weakness. They were our leader, our god. Most people called them "The God of Peace", since they kept peace between the different groups of L/n's." Aiko frowned due to your explanation. "How?" This was a history lesson. "While we all lived together in one village, our first god soon realized that there wouldn't be peace with all of them living in one place. So she, our god, decided that by separating all of the groups into the four Nations would be a solution. It depended on what your chakra nature was. Therefore what element you possesed."
Then there was nothing but silence. Aiko seemed to be thinking. You ate your food. "But then the first Shinobi War broke out. Right after our first god died and the second one arose. Everyone turned their back to the L/n clan. We were haunted down for our blood. The second god didn't live long. He died to keep peace. The third god was kidnapped by the village of blood. By then our clan nearly had no members left. And now I'm here. God number four. As far as I know, everyone before me had some kind of mission." You stopped to take a sip of water. "The first one had to keep peace within our clan. The second one had to keep peace in the Ninja world. The third one, my father, had to keep peace... In the village of blood, I assume."
What your fathers purpose was supposed to be, had always been a mystery to you. "What about you?" You knew she would ask that. The question you feared the most. A question which bothered you, ever since you entered this village. You shrugged with your shoulder. "I don't know." The answer layed in the future. You had no choice, but to wait for the answer to come to you. "Yet."
