Hello dearest readers! I want you to know that I'm trying really hard to update as quick as possible, even though I'm still pretty slow please have patience and continue your amazing support! I very much appreciate your comments and votes so please keep 'em up! d(^_^)b
Anyway I just wanted to say that this chapter starts from another's point of view (that is really short), and it's probably not goint to happen so soon again because I suck at writing from men perspective. xD
Thank you all for reading and enjoy the new chapter! <3SEUNG-HYUN POV
"Do you trust me?" I asked looking in her beautiful big hazel eyes that were showing off fear. I felt my heart ache because I had promised myself to never let her make that scared expression again. She was shuddering lightly under my touch so I tried my best to hold her as gently as I could. "Yes." She replied almost immediately. That one word filled my heart with warmth, she undoubtedly trusted me with her life and I wasn't going to let her down. "Then whatever happens I will save you. I promise." I tried to reassure her as much as I could. Her expression didn't change. She tried to struggle away from me but I was too afraid to let go of her. I can't lose her, she's the best thing that ever happened to me. I looked back at the last person I expected to see, he was supposed to be dead. My best friend, Youngbae, stood in the middle of the room with a gun pointed at the back of the love of my life. Just before she finally struggled out of my grip he approached and hit her with the gun on the head. Before she fell I automatically reached out and caught her in my arms. "She's pretty." Youngbae said. "Too bad." He added. It was useless to oppose, my gun was in the room, the only thing I could was do as he told me. He pointed at the open doors with his gun. I picked Annabelle up and carried her out of the apartment. We got into a black jeep and we drove off. I noticed another jeep driving close behind us, which meant that except for the driver and Youngbae there were at least three more assassins to deal with. We drove for about an hour before we stopped in front of the airport, which meant we were going more far than I expected. We got on a plane for Paris, I was surprised to see that, I was sure once we got to the airport that they'd take us back to Korea. I tried talking to Youngbae, get some sense into him but he was mostly on the phone and avoided me apart from ordering us when and where to move. People on the airport looked at us strangely since I carried Annabelle in my arms all the time. No one dared to approach and ask anything though, which I was grateful for because that wouldn't end well. We got on the plane and a few hours later we were in Paris. I was surprised to see that Annabelle slept throughout the trip, apparently she was more tired than she let it show. I was glad at least she'd get some rest. When we arrived in Paris they took us to a hotel I recognized, a hotel that we often used when we had jobs in Paris. It was a very high standard hotel that not anyone could afford. I wondered what they'd do to us in such a highly guarded place with a lot of staff. One thing was sure though, I thought as I saw more familiar faces in front of the hotel, I counted automatically ten more Korean men to guard us, there was no way we could escape. Youngbae led me into a room, a very wide and beautiful room. This one even seemed a bit bigger than the ones I got when I worked in Paris. "Place her on the bed." He ordered. I gave one last look at my beautiful damsel in distress before gently placing her on the bed and kissing her forehead. "Sweet dreams." I whispered softly into her ear. She made a frown before she turned to a side and continued sleeping. As I turned back to Youngbae, ready to confront him I felt a sharp pain on the back of my head and I lost consciousness. I woke up in a similar room to the one where I left Annabelle, only this one was somewhat smaller. There was no point in looking through a window, we were on the ninth floor with no way down, and in front of the doors were probably a few men. Fifteen minutes after I woke up I heard the doors open and close again. Youngbae got in with a smirk on his face. "I went to see you girlfriend. She's quite something." He said just to get me anxious. I looked up at him from the corner of the bed where I was sitting. "Don't you dare touch her." I said sternly. He raised his eyebrow and laughed. "Not my type." He said. I gave him a smirk. That was such a lie; not only because I could always tell when he's lying, but also because Annabelle was in so many ways like Rina, which is why i fell for her at first. And Youngbae loved Rina maybe more than I did. I rustled my hair trying to avoid thinking about the old days and concentrating on what's happening right now. "Don't worry, I'll take good care of her, once you're dead." He said. His face showed no emotions but I knew all this amused him more than he let it show. I just didn't understand why. "But before that, I need to know what you know, what she told you. And assuming by how far you've gone with her, I'd say you know everything." He said with a smirk. Honestly, even when we were friends I hated that smirk of his and how often he used it. It was getting annoying. "I don't know anything, because she doesn't know anything." I told him. His face hardened. "Is that your answer?" he asked. I didn't reply. There was no use, he wasn't going to believe in anything I say. "You do understand she will be tortured until she doesn't spill every last information she has." He said, but something on his face made it seem like he wasn't pleased with the idea of torturing her. Still, I felt my blood boiling from rage when I heard him say that. "Don't you touch a hair on her!" I threatened, taking him by his collar and pushing him onto the wall. He was smaller than me and I could've easily beat him but then I'd have to deal with the guards outside, and without a weapon I was as good as dead. He laughed in my face. "It's just a way of persuasion to tell me what you know." He said laughing at my loss of control. This time I wanted to punch that smirk off his face so badly, but that wasn't going to help Annabelle nor me. I needed to find another way of approach, I needed to know why he was being so cold and vengeful. I knew that he wouldn't do this just for the sake of the Organization. He had deeper reasons, I could clearly read on his face the taste for revenge towards me. "What did they tell you, huh? That Rina's alive? That they'd give her back to you if you find us?" his emotionless face turned to pure anger. "Don't you dare say her name!" he screamed in rage. "You killed her you son of a bitch! You were jealous that she chose me and that she wanted to run away with me! So you told the Organization and you almost killed us both!" He pushed me off him and punched me in my jaw. I didn't punch back, I didn't even look at him. I couldn't believe what he was saying, but then again, it was no surprise that the Organization would do something like that, turn us against each other. Just in case one of us gets off tracks. I composed myself before speaking up again. "I had nothing to do with what happened. Until yesterday I thought that you were both dead." I said slowly. "You're lying!" He shouted. "I have proof." I cut him off before he could say anything else. I noticed he was losing it, his eyes were almost tearing and he avoided to look at me. "Where?" he said in a threatening voice. I finally turned and looked him in the eyes. "It should be with you. I had a folder in my room in Rome. I know you searched all the apartment, didn't you find it?" I said. I was part of the Organization for long enough to know how they were thinking. They must've searched the apartment and whatever seemed important to them they would take with, and that folder not only seemed important but it certainly was. "My men searched your room, they didn't report any folder to be found." he said sternly. This time it was me who smirked. Does he really believe those are his men? Yes, they might follow his orders but they most certainly don't answer to him. "Of course they didn't." I said. His face darkened again. He left the room without a word, and all I could do now was wait.
