"I will have one thing go right today. Guards! Clean up that mess down there! And fetch my champion!" Scarlet said angered from Starflight being taken before he could fight in her arena. Guards entered the arena to move the dead dragons. As one of them got close to Frostburn she growled and shakily got up. The dragon that tried to kill her had gotten under her jaw and up to her cheek so she was still losing a bit of purple blood. The crowd all went silent as they looked at Frostburn. No one could believe that she had survived that kind of surprise attack.
"I-I'm not dead...." She said as Almandine looked at her from her place above the queen.
"Oh my this is a nice surprise. The hybrid was smart enough to fake her death. Well this should add to the fun. Guards leave her there but put something on that cut. I dont want her to bleed out before my new plan." Scarlet said with an evil smile as one of the guards followed her orders. The guard put what felt like an animal skin on the cut as Scarlet put a talon on her chest.
"On behalf of the prisoner Kestrel, my champion Peril has asked to fight a dragon of my choosing. If Peril wins, Kestrel goes free. If she loses- then I'll have to get a new champion. I know: you think Peril cant lose. Well, it so happens we have here today a dragon who's scales are impervious to fire! Isn't that... thrilling?" She asaid excitedly making Peril and Clay realise that she was putting them against each other.
"Also I'll be letting the smart little hybrid fight as well. Isn't that thrilling?" She said as Clay was unchained. Peril kicked back some of the sand before charging at Clay who broke her charge by taking the hit against his shoulder. This knocked her back and onto the ground.
"I know you're mad. Im sorry. I just- i thought you were trying to get away from me." She said And Clay frowned while Frostburn looked confused.
"Well, i am now." Clay responded as Peril got up.
"I had a whole plan. A plan where I saved you after Kestrel, and you liked me best of all." She said and Clay frowned again.
"Peril, i don't care of you save me. I want you to save my friends. That's what's important to me." He said and she took to the sky angrily.
"I'm your friend! Its not fair! The others can have any dragon! I only want you!" She shouted as she began to dive at him. Frostburn noticed that she wasnt even watching for her so she slung dirt into Peril's face getting it in her eyes. Peril yelled in pain and surprise as she crashed down. Clay took his chance to pin her down.
"Peril, it doesnt have to be like this. We don't have to kill each other." Clay said trying to reason with her making her growl.
"We do! Dragons kill each other all the time. Thats how we are. Especially you and me. We were killers from the moment we hatched!" She said and Clay frowned.
"That's not who i want to be. Maybe that's what the prophecy is about. Maybe were supposed to show everyone how to get along without all the killing." He said and Scarlet became annoyed.
"Hurry up and do it! Use your attack hybrid! I didnt even get to properly see it the first time!" She shouted making Frostburn frown. Before anything else could happen Glory sprang up breaking the small chains on her and hissed before shooting venom strait at the queen and Burn. Without any hesitation Burn used Scarlet as a shield making the venom hit her instead. Scarlet screamed in pain as dragons fled and her guards rushed to her. As soon as the arena was clear Tsunami looked around.
"What just happened?" She asked as Frostburn crouched a little and Clay ran to Glory.
"Glory! You're awake!" He said as she became her normal green color.
"Of course i am! Couldn't you tell i was faking? You seriously thought i was asleep the whole time?" She asked and Clay couldnt quite respond to her.
