There's a hushed silence
The city that never sleeps
Now the streets are hollow
Streetlights flickering
Darkness looming ahead
There's a feeling of dread
Eyes dart around in fear
Masks rested on their fearful faces
They keep a distance
And everyone is a threat
There's a hushed silence
And the city that never sleeps
Is quiet and on lockdown
Doors barred
Trembling fingers freshly sanitized
And now the city that never sleeps
Oh how it sleeps with dread
