trench

you're like a trench
within an ocean of toxic dreams

trenches scare me
the ocean scares me

it's a virtually alien world
I fear the uncertainty
the darkness of an abysmal trench
how it pulls me in
with it's haunting beauty
yet crippling
the very core of my being
I know with certainty
I'd die
but it's a beautiful feeling
