June 6, 1973.

              • - Half past seven in the morning.

I woke up rested and energized. I heard small sounds coming from the crib from our bed. I threw off the blanket and took Benjamin in my arms.

"Good morning Benjamin, slept well in your own bed?" I whispered. I got back into bed and looked at Roger who was still asleep.

I put Benjamin on my chest and I read a magazine. The sun began to shine through the curtains.  "Uncle Freddie is coming to see you for he first time today." I said to Benjamin while stroking his head. The funny thing is that he started getting a little hair right away.

Roger woke up. He turned and lay on his stomach. He opened his eyes and rubbed them. "Good morning dear, did you sleep well?" I asked with a smile.  "Yes, yes, thank you baby." Roger said in a hoarse morning voice.

Roger sat up to look at Benjamin. "How nice it is to see my son again." Roger yawned with outstretched arms.  "Would you like to hold him for a moment? I'm going to prepare his bottle." I said. Roger reached out and took Benjamin in his arms.

Roger had put a pillow on his legs so that Benjamin could lie down easily.

The bottle was ready. I went back to bed and handed the bottle to Roger. "Well little boy, there you go." Roger whispered, holding Benjamin tightly in his arms. "Do you feel like a real daddy yet?"  I asked with a smile. Roger nodded and blushed. "Absolutely! I love it so much." He said proudly.

I lay on my pillow turned to Roger and Benjamin, I closed my eyes for a while.  Benjamin began to cry hard. "Ssh, sweet little angel. Mommy is trying to take a nap, come on, I'll change your diaper." Roger whispered as he got out of bed.

ROGERS POV:

I put Benjamin on the changing mat on the changing table in his room. We had baskets full of diapers, which we could certainly use.

When I had changed it, I put it in the crib in the living room. "You go to sleep too little one, daddy is going to do the laundry." I whispered. Benjamin closed his eyes while I put his pacifier in his mouth.

I sat down on the couch. "I don't really feel like cleaning up." I said while scratching my hair. Then I realized that today we actually got a visit from Freddie, Brian and Deaky. I got up and immediately went to fill a bucket with water, with soapy water in it.

Since Antonia was still sleeping, I wanted to surprise her.  There was dust everywhere. I took the cloth and put it in the bucket. I went to clean carefully.  I got up on the chair to get to the kitchen cupboard. I tried to get to the closet with my cloth, but unfortunately, I just couldn't reach it. A glass fell to the floor. My heart was beating like a train.

I heard Antonia wake up in her bed.  She made a very high-pitched noise with a yawn. "Oops." I whispered.

I picked up the broken glass and threw it in the trash. "Are you okay, honey?"  Antonia asked as she stood at the door wearing a bathrobe.

"Yes! Only a glass fell." I said. Antonia laughed and stood behind me. "Don't you want to sleep just yet?" I asked.  Antonia shook her head. "No, it's not necessary. I have energy now." She said as she stretched.

Antonia walked to the cradle where Benjamin slept. "How late are the boys coming?" She asked. I looked at the clock. "One o'clock in the afternoon." I said. "Oh." She replied.

Antonia's POV:

It was almost one in the afternoon. I was sitting on the couch. Roger was making tea and putting cups on the table.
