July 6, 1973.

We are now a few weeks later, Benjamin was now a month old. He grew incredibly well than we expected.

The only problem is that Benjamin has a lot of trouble with his intestines. He has difficulty digesting food, especially (milk). Everything goes in and goes right out.

I sat on the sofa with Benjamin, he was in a blanket on my lap. "Would you like to quickly prepare a bottle for him?" I asked Roger. Roger nodded and got up from the sofa, picked up the bottle from the counter and cleaned it.

"I'm a bit worried." I said. Roger handed the bottle of milk, "About what?" He asked in surprise.

I sighed and handed Benjamin the bottle. "Oh about Benjamin, do you want me to call the hospital?" Roger asked. I nodded, "If you want to do it, I'm incredibly worried."

Roger went to the phone and dialed the hospital number. Minutes later Benjamin finished drinking, hoping to keep it in his stomach.

But unfortunately, Benjamin spat out all the milk. I thought this was really bad for my little boy. I took a cloth and cleaned my sweater, he spit a lot on my sweater.

Roger walked into the living room. "Is he okay?" He asked. I sighed, "No, he just spit on me again."

Roger sat down on the sofa next to me.  He put his long arm around me.  "Honey, we can come by tomorrow for an appointment." Roger said. "How great, now something can really be done about it, he is in pain." I said.

Benjamin began to make soft crying noises. He had a lot of trouble with his intestines.

"I'm going to bathe him." I said while I got up. I put Benjamin in Roger's warm arms. "Can you hold him for a moment?" I asked. Roger nodded, "Of course honey."

I went to the bathroom and filled his bath with lukewarm water, I put a little baby soap in it. I rubbed small bubbles into it.

Roger walked over with Benjamin in his arms. "I'll undress him." He said. I smiled and stood in the bathroom looking in the mirror. Had I changed since I was a mother?

Roger gave Benjamin a bath.  He held it with both hands. "Hopefully this will work for his cramps a bit." I said. Roger nodded, "It would pass on its own."

"Do you like it, boy?" Roger laughed.  Benjamin closed his eyes and a small smile appeared on his face. "Did you see that, Roger?!" I got excited.

"He's smiling for the first time!" Roger said with a happy tone in his voice.  "Where's my photo camera?" I said, I walked to the bedroom. I wanted to put this on a picture.

I succeeded, I took a picture of Roger holding Benjamin in the bath with arms. Benjamin lay in the water with a smile, meanwhile he was asleep.  "Look at it." I said while showing the photo to Roger. "Aw, look at him. We have to paste it in the photo book we got."  Roger said. I nodded and put the camera on our bed. I took a towel to dry Benjamin.

I took Benjamin out of the bath and put him in his soft towel. I took him to the changing table in his room.

Roger emptied the tub and dried his arms.

I dressed Benjamin, I put on his pajama size that Freddie had given him. "Look at this, handsome guy!" I said as I took him in my arms.

I put it in his crib in the living room. I put a blanket over him and put his pacifier in his mouth to calm down and sleep. I turned the music mobile above his head. There were all kinds of hugs, the music mobile turned around and you heard soft music.

Benjamin closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep. I stroked his soft cheeks.  "Sleep a while, little one." I whispered.  I kissed him, and went to the bedroom to see what Roger was doing.

Roger was sitting on his bed reading a book. "It's hot today."  I sighed.  "We can go to a pool?" Roger asked. I shrugged, "Benjamin is sleeping." I said.  Roger put his arm around me. "We've got all week, darling." Roger said. He gave me a kiss.

Roger and I and our little angel Benjamin spent the rest of the day at home, we didn't do anything special. Tomorrow we had an appointment for Benjamin, he will be examined for his aching stomach.
