(this is not based on valentine's day)
"
Got nothing but love for you, fall more in love everyday.
"
"Get up, loser," Luke shook the sleeping girl. This was now their morning routine, much like the last chapter. They'd share a bed - platonically guys, jeez - one of them would wake up first and then proceed to irritate the other until they opened their eyes. Today it was Luke's day.
"Five more minutes," she mumbled, stuffing her face into her pillow.
"You told me you had something important to do today, Charlie. You told me to wake you up early," he explained, lightly shaking her again. This time, she shot up with a gasp.
"Luke! Why didn't you say anything?! Get up! Get changed! We have a busy day planned!" She yelped, racing out of bed. She ran into the bathroom and brushed her teeth faster than you could spell that out.
"I did wake-" he started out, following her into the bathroom. She quickly cut him off.
"No time for shenanigans, Luke! We're going out today so throw on your swim trunks and sun screen and prepare!"
Luke was confused.
"Prepare for what, Char?" He asked with a confuddled look on his face. She mumbled out muffled words whilst brushing her teeth, it was a very unattractive sight.
"Never mind that, it's a surprise. Go get changed," she demanded but he knew there was a teasing hint to her tone. She smiled at him, nervous that she sounded nasty but when he returned her smile with an even cheesier grin of his own, her nerves calmed.
Luke headed to his room to throw on a pair of green trunks with small little pineapples over them. He wasn't really bothered with his T-shirt so he just threw on a plain white one and then slipped his feet into a pair of flip flops.
When he rejoined Charlie, he had to stop his jaw from dropping at the sight of her in a new bikini and a pair of ripped denim shorts.
"Looking cute, Luke," she commented with a giggle at his shorts, "somehow you manage to pull pineapples off."
He had a small blush over her comment.
"Thank you, Char," he coyly smiled, "you look
really pretty."Luckily for her, she managed to hide the tint on her cheek. Luke wasn't so lucky, his face was still red ten minutes later. Charlie liked that she made him blush. There was a sense of power behind it. She made Luke blush. It's a win.
"Are you all ready, love?" She asked as she lead him to the kitchen. Whilst there, she grabbed a few snacks for the journey; breakfast bars, crisps and some drinks.
"I'm ready."
With his verbal confirmation, Charlie then took him to her car. As soon as she made sure they were all buckled up and the SatNav was actually routed to the right place, she headed off and began their journey.
"It's a bit of a long drive," she explained when they still hadn't reached their destination after forty five minutes of driving.
"I can see that," he laughed, tracing circles on her hand as she held the gear stick. She tried not to think too much of the action. "Where are you taking me?"
