A/N: Can be platonic or romantic I guess

"Goddammit Deku!" you yelped as you dodged his blow, by diving out of the way.

He had somehow fallen under a villain's control and was now attacking you. You were dodging and jumping around, trying to stay away from his reach. If he got you, that would be a guaranteed trip to the hospital and possibly to the morgue. You didn't know what to do, how the hell were you supposed to snap him out of this? Should you just attempt to knock him out?

You couldn't wonder about it for long, because he was coming at you again. You dodged yet again, and he smashed his way straight through the wall behind you. To your luck his movements were a lot more sluggish under the villain's control than usual, but he was still a pain in the ass to try to keep away from.

"Deku!" you yelled at him, it made him stop for just a second and you could've sworn you saw the light come back in his eyes, but then they went empty again and he kept attacking you.

So there was still someone home in there, you were sure he was fighting against the villain as best as he could, but it didn't really seem to change anything. You had to take the risk, you had to get close to him and knock him out.

You grabbed a big rock from the ground, that had probably once been a part of a nearby wall. You gripped it tightly in your hand and started approaching Deku. He lunged at you, you dodged and hit him in the back of the head with the rock. He dropped like a sack of hammers and didn't move, for a second you were scared that you'd killed him but then he started groaning and moving again.

"What's going on?" he muttered, holding the back of his head with his other hand.

You let out a sigh of relief and helped him sit up.

"Is everything alright up there?" you asked and tapped his forehead a few times.

"What?" he asked, confused about what was going on. "Why am I bleeding?" he added as he brought the hand he had been holding on the back of his head in front of his face.

"That's my fault, I had to give you a bit of a bump to get you to snap out of it"

"Get me to snap out of what? And where did that villain go?"

"He was controlling you and I'm pretty sure he got away from us, because I had to fight you"

"I didn't hurt you did I?" he asked with a bit of panic in his voice and grabbed your shoulders.

"Nah, I managed to dodge everything and other than some rubble, nothing even touched me" you smiled.

"Oh, good then" he said and seemed to just now notice his hands were on your shoulders. He released you quickly and went beet red, stammering something about being sorry for being so abrupt.

"It's okay, let's get you checked out by the paramedics. I did hit you pretty hard"

"That sounds like a good idea" Deku said as you helped him up, he was admittedly feeling a bit lightheaded.

"You look like you're about to keel over" you noted and stayed close to him in case he stumbled or fell.

In the end Deku was okay, and you only had a couple of bruises from all the rubble that had been thrown around during the fighting. You were both kind of annoyed that the villain had gotten away, but you were also glad neither of you had gotten seriously hurt. Midoriya kept apologizing to you, even though it really wasn't his fault and you weren't even hurt. You reassured him you were okay and told him to drop it and he did, eventually.
