A/N: The request on tumblr for this one was basically a bad panic attack

Midoriya had been out to see some of your mutual friends from your days at UA, but you hadn't felt like coming along. You had just told him to give them your best.

Midoriya had had a bit of a bad feeling about leaving you alone that particular evening, since you hadn't been having the best of weeks, but you had assured him you would be fine. You'd told him you were going to watch a movie and turn in early.

A movie and going to sleep early was exactly what you had planned on doing, but then something struck you. You had no idea what triggered it this time, but you could feel your chest tightening and your breathing getting more labored. You sat down on the couch and tried calming yourself, but you couldn't. The most awful thoughts were taking over your brain. You saw yourself dying a hundred different ways in your head, and your vision was going blurry.

In the middle of having a beer with Bakugou and Kirishima, Midoriya got the most awful feeling in the pit of his stomach. He ignored it for a while, but it persisted.

"I need to make a call" he told them and stepped outside the bar.

He called you, but there was no answer, which made sense if you had already gone to sleep, but it had only been around an hour since he left home and knowing you, you would not get to sleep that quickly. That combined with the bad feeling he was having, he decided to head home. He sent the guys a text telling them he had to go home, and started walking.

At some point his walking turned into sprinting. The foreboding feeling that something bad was happening didn't let up the whole time he made his way home.

When he got to the front door he fumbled with his keys for a moment, before getting the door open.

"(Name?)" he asked, raising his voice a little as he walked in.

No answer.

Midoriya walked farther into the house and found you laying on the floor next to the couch.

"(Name!) he yelped and knelt down next to you lifting you onto the couch.

You didn't resist, in fact you didn't move at all, you just laid on the couch, while Midoriya held your hand. He also decided to check your pulse, which seemed to be a little elevated, but it was there. He sighed in relief.

"Izuku?" you asked quietly as your eyes fluttered open.

"I'm here" he answered, placing a kiss on the back of your palm.

You started tearing up, and hiccupping, as Midoriya asked: "What happened?"

"I-I had a panic attack, I think..." you sniffled, your head was hurting like someone had hit you on it.

"I shouldn't have left you alone, you I knew you hadn't been doing well, and-"

You cut him off with a: "No-no, you can't just stop living your life because you want to take care of me" as you sat up.

Midoriya looked a bit taken aback by what you'd just said.

"I'm not stopping my life, you're a huge part of it, a part which I'd like to take good care of" he said.

"But I can't be your whole life, Izuku. I don't want you to miss out on things because of me and then resent me for it" the tears started falling as you said that.

"I could never resent you, I love you" he said softly.

"But-" you started.

"You need to stop thinking like that. You're not a burden I'm forced to carry, you're someone I chose to love, baggage and all" he said and sat next to you on the couch.

You leaned your head against his shoulder and he wrapped his arm around yours. You stayed like that for a while. You cried out your frustration as he held you close and told you it was going to be okay. How had you gotten so lucky? To have found someone like him must have been one in a million. You would cherish him till the end of your days, whenever that may be.
